Blizzard Trademarks "Warlords of Draenor" - WoW Expansion

Looking good - finally Spacegoats will get a huge delivery of lore.

We were discussing this in guild last night. One person brought up a good point that "Warlords of Draenosh" sounds like an Expansion pack for TCG more than for WoW. That being said there is no more TCG but perhaps the first card pack for Hearthstone? Just an idea.

The Dark Below sounds so much cooler. I wouldn't mind Draenei lore as it is my favorite race, but meh...

I just hope they'll improve the questing experience. Mop really sucked. The whole continent of Pandaria was like one big uniform continent. Every zone felt practically the same. Just like a China-clone.

That's why i liked cataclysm way better. Zones like deepholm, vashjir, uldum, ... they all had their unique feeling and story.

I've read many times people thought cataclysm was a lackbuster because the zones were spread out. But i say it's because it kinda lacked a compelling story. Who cares about an angry dragon named deathwing anyway?

I can only hope blizz will this time implement both. A compelling story and a very diverse gameworld scenery. Maybe blizz gonna get it right this time?

this makes me a bit sad because I know most likely there will not be any "snowy" type areas even if they design an "outlands 2", it's just not in the Draenor lore

Except for the fact that TCG is discontinued and they wouldn't trademark it the way they did lol.

The name doesn't seem to fit very well.. you'd think they could have thought of a better one. But anyway, the expansion lore should be pimp.. might even have a return to northrend in two years lol

I don't understand how everyone can lose their shit over non-contexted speculations. Sure, if we were traveling time back to Draenor when everything played out as it did originally, it would only make sense to end things as the known history happened. But we don't know the reasons for traveling to the past planet to form a proper opinion yet. What if the Infinite Dragonflight is involved and we have to stop them? What if the Burning Legion found a way to time travel and we have to stop them? What if some new threat comes along to threaten the known history which can destroy the space-time continuum that needs to be stopped? Or perhaps this whole time travel expansion is a complete fabrication of some overenthusiastic fan?

Blizzcon is merely weeks away. Why don't we all just wait to form our official opinions then? Sure speculation is fun, but no need bunching our panties just yet.

I remember the last Blizzcon they said they would introduce Turalyon again but only after MoP. I could see us going back in time for part of the expansion right to see how the 2nd war played out. For reasons you stated. But patches after I can see we are following Turalyon and where he went and it would come back to current time to new zones in current outland. Would be very interesting tbh man. But as you said we shall see, I just cannot wait to see Turalyon again. One of my favs of WC3, hopefully Teron Gorefiend will show up again.

With time travel this sounds much like a "Warcraft all-stars" expansion. This is the last big one i say! 90-100 go go

Time travel crap in WoW works well for side things like Dungeons and scenarios and perhaps one minor quest line to give context on the events happening in the present day for new players (Go see Black Morass, Culling of Stratholme, etc).
An entire expansion? No, you'd see a lot of people complaining, including myself, about rehashing a story line they started and concluded in one of their previous titles.
When it comes down to story, I want to see it progress, not do it again. Personally, if I wanted to see it again, I'd go back to WC2. Nostalgia can all be nice, but that wears off quite quickly. As I said, it servers well for a 5 man or two and a few scenarios, not as the main focus for an expansion.

I never played the WC series of games, so I would love to go back in time and see all those heroes and characters that I hear so much about.

If they use time travel in the next expansion, I hope it's used to travel to the FUTURE, not the PAST... makes more sense (being more realistic) and doesn't necessarily fuck up the lore. :P
