Blizzard Trademarks "Warlords of Draenor" - WoW Expansion
Blizzard just trademarked "Warlords of Draenor" in New Zealand. It was then registered in Australia shortly after.

  • Computer game software, computer game discs, downloadable computer game software, computer game software downloadable from a global computer network, interactive multimedia computer game program; downloadable electronic game software for use on portable electronic devices such as mobile and cellular phones, laptops, handheld computers, and tablet PCs.
  • Entertainment services, namely, providing on-line computer games; providing on-line non-downloadable computer games that may be accessed via a global computer network; providing online news and information in the field of computer games.

It's also worth mentioning that warlordsofdraenor.com was registered a month ago.

I do realize that we had a lot of fun times with trademarks in the past (*cough* Dark Below *cough*) but let's just say that on a personal level I'm pretty confident about this one. I'll leave the speculation up to you guys until Blizzcon.

Well there are always portals! Portal in the middle of OG with some time guards next to it. You enter Dreanor before BC and go into another portal there to help Grom! You get a epic quest from grom to go back to OG to report to the Vol'jin! Then Vol'Jin sends youback to take the portal thru the portal in Dreanor! then we go back to Dreanor with the portal and take the other portal back to Og to finnish your quest!

    SO MUCH FUN SOON!!

Ot: Please let this whole Dreanor thing be a joke.. for gods sake.

Yo dawg, we heard you like portals, so we put some portals in a portal so you could portal while you portal.

With all this stuff with the bronze dragonflight, wouldn't surprise me if we see draenor return in its original state.

    Just as an FYI.

In the last few minutes, "Warlords of Draenor" was added to the European trademark database. The application date was today's (yesterday now in Europe) date of 11/4/2013. Pop over to tmview.europa.eu Search and enter as the search term:

    tm:"WARLORDS OF DRAENOR"

To find the item and view it. It looks like their nightly indexing process is incomplete so things are reference markers but I imagine the full data will populate shortly.

Looks real, I reckon. So that makes NZ and AU on Friday, and EU on Monday. I do not see it in the US yet but their database FAQ says it can take 4-5 days to show up online.

All the while, I don't want to derail this over a criticism of a criticism. Yes Criticismception.
    The criticismception, was criticlasmic.

No, the trademark is specifically categories 9 and 41, which means computer software.

I like how people think Warlords of Draenor is a dumb idea and a dumb name but they were okay with Mists of Pandaria. Seriously? And people say there are no Warlords from Draenor in lore so it makes no sense. Well there also wasn't anything such as a mist covering an entire continent in lore either, but we still got Pandaria. If we made it through MoP we'll make it through Draenor. I for one would love to go back to Outland. MoP didn't even feel like WoW to me at all. The zones looked too similar for my tastes, and nothing special stands out for much of them(IMO). Siege is also the only raid I really felt like I was back in WoW when raiding. But I will say Throne was way better than the launch raids in terms of that Warcraft feeling.

I also can't help but facepalm when I see people that REALLY believe Warlords of Draenor is a Hearthstone expansion/booster pack rofl. The game isn't even out yet for one. This would be like Blizzard announcing they were working on Outland in 2003 a year before WoW was even out. Not to mention look at what Boub has said. He flat out said Dark Below will NOT be the expansion days before this came out. And he said he was confident this was it and AFAIK he has never been wrong so yeah. Get used to it because WoW:WoD is coming.

i STILL feel like this is just a white rabbit. blizz knows all about the trademark datamining going on, and is just using this to deflect any attention from any leaks that might arise this close to the con as information becomes more widespread in preparation.

The real trademark is hidden in Swaziland! Could be...

I've just noticed as well if you resolve the actual IP address of warlordsofdraenor.com
    it is 12.129.242.30.

Now, if you do a tracert directly to that it resolves as warcraft.com

I guess we will find out for sure tomorrow :P
