Oh, at least 20,000 people. Not counting those who will try and not be able to get in the queue.

It's not insane by any stretch. You act like you're paying $200 to go watch a powerpoint presentation or something. It's an experience that is unquestionably worthwhile if you aren't a shut-in.

Typical, someone unable to think beyond his own reality.

It's crazy TO YOU, but not everyone lives and thinks like you do. I'm sure you spend money on stuff others would find to be a plain waste. Not to mention time, which would include any type of gaming.

Not that I'll be purchasing a ticket, it'd take a chunk from my savings that will be going towards a puppy. I am however able to understand why others want to, quite easily.

With all due respect, a blizzcon THIS early is like celebrating Christmas in July - it's just not time yet. I mean, we just had one of these, so i hope they are planning something big for one that's not at the end of an X-pac, but i do know people dug up info on another Blizzcon a few days after the 2013 one. Blizzcons are definitely a blast of fun right to the face so whining about it is like complaining about the circus being in town, but If they don't announce something like Project Titan then it'll be interesting to see whats up their sleeve that they didnt tell us about yet. Maybe surprise features for WoD? Whatever it is, ir's obviously something big if it's worthy of a whole Blizzcon. The boys at Blizzard dont hold these things for nothing. (Maybe they'll surprise us again like they did with H-stone. or Perhaps new SC game & Heroes/Hearthstone x-pac info along with WoD stuff)

Also, INB4 people say that blizzcon is wasting WoD resources, thinking that Blizzard is incapable of multitasking, followed by folks becoming Blizzard's personal accountants saying that they are spending their money/resources on things that don't matter or some other ignorant garbage.

Oooh! What kind of puppy are you getting?

But what have they got to announce this year? Another WoW expansion would be too soon. Diablo Expansion 2 is also too soon. So there will only be release date of Heroes of Storm and SC: Legacy of the Void. Which are not much! I question the wisdom of Blizzard having another Blizzcon with very little to show.

I'm expecting WoD to be released before Blizzcon! But... I'm gonna be the most disappointed guy on the face of the earth.

I plan on doing the same thing I did last year. Watch a pirated stream. muwhahaha

Anyone mentioned the movie yet? We could get quite a lot of coverage of that.

So ... Blizzard has stated already that WOD will be out "in the fall".

To launch the expansion less than month before Blizzcon would be shown as rude cause guilds will still be in the hunt for world fist 1 month after release.

This leaves the week of 21st of september as the only possible release date. But not really. Cause with less than 6 months to this date... and the game not even in real alpha.... Blizzard can not stick this date now.. later... or ever.

So late November is right now the first possible release of WOD.

This is INCREDIBLY dissapointing as November 10th 2014+ is WAY to far away for WoWs expansion release. People are already bored and leaving, and its a real problem to have these huge year long or longer gaps between expansions. Meanwhile what is blizzard doing about it? Nothing.. or possibly holding back release to sell blizzcon tickets.
Erm, they have lots of other things they can talk about. If they release WoD after blizz-con it is practically suicide for the game. They need to release it before and they can use the convention to talk about 6.1.

They can also talk about the WoW movie, Starcraft, Diablo, Heroes of the storm and any new projects.

But they really should take some big critics for not even getting the expansion out that was announched at last Blizzcon with the "sooner than you think" comment....
You do know how large blizzard is? They probably have an entire team dedicated to doing blizz-con.

Blizz-con doesn't revolve around world of warcraft. Who cares if guilds are progressing. Its a game.

And please stop using ... when you don't need too.
