Update: The Warforged Nightmare is now on the shop site!

Warforged Nightmare - Available Now In-Game Through the Shop
It looks like the Warforged Nightmare isn't available on the website yet, but it appears to be live in game in the US. This mount costs $30, which is $5 more than the usual $25 price.

Using the item that comes in the mail will give you the Nightmarish Hitching Post, which can be used to gain a buff that makes all of your mounts look like the Warforged Nightmare for the next 20 minutes.

I don't like it, so I'm not buying it, but I won't begrudge someone else for buying it.
Why would they create content for free if they can make money by selling these items? Same for rehashing content. Why create new dungeons when you can just use an old one and update it a little.

Keep fooling yourself that it doesn't have any impact...

    Hipster e-peening mentality I'd bet.

I'm not going to say that it cost us a tier of content even though they have made 4-5 store mounts since SoO was implemented. What I will say is that the team that works on those models could work on updated Moonkin form models for WoD. And I am willing to bet that we won't see those.

Obviously you are not getting the point.

Its almost unthinkable for me to assume they cannot release these mounts without the (most likely) hundreds of thousands of dollars they make from just 1.

I wont go out of my way to ostracise these players, but I will voice my opinion on how I see the curve going (which is up, up and away).
If all of the mounts that came with Soo were enough to keep the player base happy. Why would they make more? How do you know the 25$ per mount doesn't incentive them to make more? Rather then they would just add more cause....

Ah, so Blizzard say they are too busy to make pretty much anything that players request (moonkin form etc) and give us content and are working on WoD, anything that the players request will apparently come at the expense of something else (raid tier was the words they used), yet WoD alpha is only just out, beta announcement is nowhere to be seen, and they still find time to make all of these store mounts and crap (yet no content for us) which takes time so by Blizzard logic is actually delaying the expansion.

This clearly isn't an intelligent point though because Blizzard clearly don't want your money and aren't milking you, they just want to help you to get to 250 mounts

I can't believe people actually put that kind of money on a mount in WoW. It doesn't matter if you can afford it or not, it's still way over-priced and the buyers are basically ruining the game by saying it's okay to have a subscription based game where you still have to shell out an insane amount of money if you want all the mounts.

Same skeleton as the Windsteed. Even has the same running/flying sounds. (The snorts REALLY throw the sound off). 4/10, another number for my mount collection, will only be used when my random macro pulls it out.

A mount with like seven animations take a lot less time to make then a tier of content or even a dungeon. Was it a scumbag move for them to put it in the store yeah but they have every right. Content takes a lot longer then making one mount bro they aren't equivalent but I do agree its a d bag move.

Point is they say they don't have time to do anything outside of WoD development, yet clearly they do have time to add this stuff to the shop, they are always contradicting themselves. No, making mounts and such doesn't take as much as a whole raid, but the time probably could've been used to develop a filler raid for MoP. Raids like RS wouldn't have taken long to implement/design at all compared to ICC etc.

I dont doubt they are incentivised to make more mounts because of the cash, but thats a terrible thing to be racing after, in a game where you already pay monthly and initially.
Its not to them because they're laughing all the way to the bank broseph.
