Blizzard just confirmed in a very short blue post that Auction House will be merged between Horde and Alliance in Warlords of Draenor.

Yes, in 6.0 auction houses are unified between factions on a given server. The benefit you cite is a major reason behind the change.

    Great change,was hoping for this for quite a while.

    Cross faction gold mailing should be implemented also. My horde characters got plenty of gold while my alliance ones battle Topper Mc'nab for his spot on the SW streets.

    Well unifies the price of both auctions and less sniping of neutral auction house purchases for cross trading(though it won't exist anymore)

    Not sure if serious? It will increase the quality of life for players on a low pop faction by a ton. It's very good news for everyone. Everyone will have a full stocked working auction house no matter the population of said servers/factions.

    Then the next logical step would be to allow cross faction mailing - or at least gold mailing, or at least account-wide gold mailing.
