They should have ended that at 35 minutes when they talked about killing Arthas. Yes I am that guy who quit and never came back because I am still in 2014 pissed off they did that. Anyways great movie.

And was anyone else REALLY creeped out by the observation room? That's straight up NSA behavior and a total invasion of player privacy. Who knows where Blizz sells their info.
Uh all blizz people still work at blizzard (shown in documentary) except Rob Pardo....also without that "observation" room there would be alot of server crashing, bugs, lag etc. How is it in any way an invasion of player privacy? they are monitoring how many people log into what server and when, and react to huge surges of activity, reacting to DDoS attacks etc. Stop making shit up please....

OT- Loved the documentary, brought some nostalgia and memories, amazing piece of WoW history!

I wasn't going to watch this, but I'm glad I did. So much passion, so many moments in the vid that I experienced myself in game, and emotionally. This really made me happy.

How else is Blizzard going to monitor 1 of the largest (game)server infrastructures in the world?

Real-time monitoring of where people are logging in, to what server, are there any attacks(DDOS) or simple errors between the server and the player client.

Also how is it invasion of player privacy? Blizzard is known to monitor stuff which 99% surely IS mentioned in the little text called "Terms of Service" you so blindly accepted without reading it.

Heaven forbid they monitor THEIR systems. We'll all welcome you to the real world once you wake up.

Also, Lee-Curtis? That was unexpected...lovely documentary!

Of curse, people will still keep claiming that the team doesn't care, that it's all about money and they're just milking us all for what we're worth to end WoW with as much cash in their pockets as possible...I would like those people to get a stamp that says "Idiot" from now on please.
Y'know how one of the Cata raids can net you the (temporary) title "Slayer of Stupid, Incompetent, and Disappointing Minions"?

People like you describe should get that title permanently, minus the "Slayer of" and "Minions" part, and be unable to remove it.

eu takes raid testing WAY more seriously, and tbf the raid testing was really fucking bad. soooo many delays/bugs/untested encounters (like internally untested).

but ion is just the best guy ever. you can't not love him, he's just awesome

That was an awesome documentary. They did a great job of showing some behind the scenes things, and seeing how the world looked back in like alpha was really cool to see.

Showing some of the cons was cool too, as someone who has never gone it's crazy to see how many people dress up and shit, so many people are so into it. Makes me think WoW will never die.

Oh? So them telling about how it started and then going through the years all up to WoD is somehow "all from the past"...?
