This afternoon Blizzard released the subscribers count as of November 13, 2014. This is up 2.6 million from the Q3 2014 call that listed WoW at 7.4 million subscribers.

Warlords of Draenor has sold over 3.3 million copies so far, up from 1.5 million pre-ordered in August.

Garrison Campaign Quests Active
Garrison Campaign quests are now active and the one you get each week appears to be random.

One option you may get is from Khadgar's Servant in your garrison, which sends you to Shadowmoon Valley for a short quest chain that rewards Sargerei Disguise (which is not a Toy).

I love these news, but the hopelessly failed launch and the fact that 1 week after launch it still takes me ~30 minutes to get into my garrison and dungeon finder not working will rout the subs so fast...a shame really, freaking great expansion, but the technical problems destroy it so far. I will stay anyway though

I'll check back in 6 months to see how it's doing. It's a very good result but lets see how many of those subs will translate into longer term ones.

I am about to sub again - and I have not had an active sub for maybe 5 years now!

WoD just appeals so much to me, and I really want to experience no flying mount WoW one more time.

MoP didn't seem to bring anyone back.... LOL

This reminds me of that one idiot thread a while back that predicted the death of WoW by 2016. It even had a nice little graph.

The haters must really have their panties in a bunch at the moment.

I wonder what would of happened if they didn't put stupid MoP and instead stuck to the core lore and went straight to WoD..

    13-14 million?

According to the release Asia just launched today and those numbers are from the 13th. So they don't include any increase from the Asian markets and honestly they don't include any new subs that came in on launch day or after.

    B. Current subscribers upgraded and 3 million people returned to play MoP.

Think about it. I'm calling bullshit.
    two things

    A. Asia
    B. WOW is a very casual game, a lot of people don´t play every day, or maybe even every week. My guild is full of people who play a few hours once a week. They just have no reason to rush off to buy an expansion.

I just want to understand, 3.3 million bought WoD, 6.7 million are doing what then ? Gold farming ? AFK in cities ?

Oh man look another person wanting to try no flying, you sir are welcome. I may like Flying. But the world looks amazing from the ground & you really don't notice having no flying as you can reach everything with a ground mount.

From what I've been told, (so, I'm not sure) the data is from the release date. Asia
    released WoD after that.

nobody cared about panda's, but this expansion targeted new players and existing ones (esp the old BC crowd)

If they bring in sargeras in the next xpac then expect subscribes to be at an all time high.

Also, I like how they set the date of the report on November 13th, not a few days after when people ended their subscriptions out of frustration.
dude, give it up.. probably even the mod of the subredit didn´t unsubscribe because of 1 or 2 days of bad servers. They gave 5 free days, I am sure anyone that did put in their cancel notice was also still playing by the time the servers were fixed and the 5 days came out. At the end of a few weeks, nobody remembers the first day.

Asia doesn't buy expansions & their are alot of people who play WoW & don't have the expansion yet. I know like 4 people who havn't bought the expansion yet, I ask them why. But they say they are in no rush. Can't argue with that.

Subs at start of MOP 10 Million
Subs at start of WOD 10 Million

    Yup, nobody cared about Pandas.

could anyone take the time to explain the positive difference between 7.5m subs and 10m subs ?
All I have experienced so far is queue times, broken servers and a major part of the game (Garrisons) which feels for all the world like it is still in early beta with all the crashes.
