Garrison Campaign Quests Active
Garrison Campaign quests are now active and the one you get each week appears to be random.

One option you may get is from Khadgar's Servant in your garrison, which sends you to Shadowmoon Valley for a short quest chain that rewards Sargerei Disguise (which is not a Toy).

Well done Blizz. I haven't bought the expansion yet as I'm waiting for servers to stabilize. And I do wonder why all those haters are still here, are you really that sad about Wow gaining popularity again?
To all those haters/ex-Wow players, let it go, you don't like Wow anymore, there are other games for you but no need to rain on Blizz' parade. It's an awesome accomplishment and if you can't handle that, you need to get your priorities straight.

It does include China players who were playing MoP for the last month
It does not include players from china who have not subscribed in the last 30 days, but will likely play in the day when WoD is released.

Probably the majority of china players are accounted for in that 10M, but there still could be a significant bump if there were a lot of them who haven´t logged in during the past 30 days.

If you're waiting for realm stability-wait no longer! lol I play on one of the most populated realms and the last couple nights I've only had to wait 10-15minutes to get in. There is no wait if I want to log in during non-peak hours.

The expansion didn't launch in asia yet though. So the 2.6 mil increase is most likely only from europe and na.

While I've been critical about Blizz and cynical about WoW, I will agree that this shows WoW is, indeed, not dead. There's obviously still a big pool of potential customers. Which, in turn, means that when subs do drop, it is not because of some "natural product cycle" or anything like that, but because Blizz has made choices with the game that people disliked.

I wonder if increasing WoW subs has anything to do with a struggling job market and depressed wages.

We all expected a boost for an expansion but I don't think anyone could have predicted this. Wow!

I can totally vouch for that. If anyone is on the fence of buying WoD, you should not be. Actually, just check the realm status on the official site for the region you play on. Majority of them are medium and when they are full or high, they don't have Qs anymore. If they do have Qs, it's small due to the new instancing technology they are using to make multiple copies of the server to increase server capacity.

Nice increase! I predicted it would be closer to 9 mil.

Extremely surprising number. At least the number of utter morons posting the product lifecycle curve will go down.
  1. Rudypoo's Avatar
That seems about right. Each new expansion brings back a substantial amount of people -- curious people that want to see how the change affects the overall game.

The test is going to be the same as always, though: KEEPING those subs.

My hope is, Blizzard is proactive this time. They dropped the ball with Pandaria, especially where content was concerned. That cannot happen this time if they want to keep these subs anywhere near the 10 million mark.

Contrary to what some people are saying ,these numbers actually might keep growing as raid tiers start to hit and word gets out that the hype was real.

Looks like MoP was a fail already compared to WoD.

So about 4 million players still don't have WoD? :P

There will still, unfortunately, forever be negative naysayers and loser people trying to bum others down with their bad attitudes...
