WoW Up to 10 Million Subscribers
This afternoon Blizzard released the subscribers count as of November 13, 2014. This is up 2.6 million from the Q3 2014 call that listed WoW at 7.4 million subscribers.

Warlords of Draenor has sold over 3.3 million copies so far, up from 1.5 million pre-ordered in August.

Garrison Campaign Quests Active
Garrison Campaign quests are now active and the one you get each week appears to be random.

One option you may get is from Khadgar's Servant in your garrison, which sends you to Shadowmoon Valley for a short quest chain that rewards Sargerei Disguise (which is not a Toy).

    Strange numbers.

    7.5mill in MoP
    3.3 mill WoD sales
    =
    10 mil in WoD......

I think you really have to question if subscribers = players.

Why would they care if 1mil or 10mil people play the game as long as 10mil people pay for it?

    Sub number > player number

The haters must really have their panties in a bunch at the moment.
As someone who is probably on the hater side of things, not really. This level of success is well into the "I'm not even mad, that's amazing" territory. I'll bet the people who thought the panda theme wasn't driving people away are probably struggling though.

Asian markets don't purchase expansions. We always see 2-3million expansion sales in the first week.

10 mil subs and 3.3 mil wod copies sold. I call bs on 77% of wows population playing old expansions.

Now that MoP comes with WoW standard. I can see people returning, going through the past expansions/MoP, before buying the expansion. It's only 6 days old after all.

I think most people give the expansion a chance, and then if the quality is there, they stay. In Cata, the quality wasn't there, and subs were lost. In MOP, an expansion I rather liked, there was just something that didn't "click" and subs were lost.

Thus far, WOD seems different to me. It feels like there's something "clicking."

Holy crap, that's just insane. I'm honestly quite shocked.

    Good for you, Blizzard!

Pandaria is possibly the best xpack to date. It had good raiding and amazingly well thought out themes that were carried out to perfection. A lot of people didn't care for the Chinese feeling but..... Also, I didn't see anyone at all complain about the decidedly Scandinavian feel of WOTLK and it has even less to do with WoW than China so what was really the problem here?

I like WoD so far but....I see a slump coming up if you do not raid or pvp heavily (land a vast majority of players do not). We will simply run out of things to do. It just feels very scripted and controlled and that doesn't last long.

I played UO for 6 years up until WOW also. Back then, we certainly were all over sub numbers. They were used all the time in the Trammel vs Felucca wars. Back then even a 10,000 subscriber increase was used as ´proof´ that something worked well in the game.

I won´t say this for WOW, but for every other MMORPG, subscription numbers matter a great deal because they usually indicate the loss of dev jobs, which you saw with Wildstar recently. When subs start to fall, it takes only a few months until the layoffs come.

Well done Blizz. I haven't bought the expansion yet as I'm waiting for servers to stabilize. And I do wonder why all those haters are still here, are you really that sad about Wow gaining popularity again?
To all those haters/ex-Wow players, let it go, you don't like Wow anymore, there are other games for you but no need to rain on Blizz' parade. It's an awesome accomplishment and if you can't handle that, you need to get your priorities straight.

It does include China players who were playing MoP for the last month
It does not include players from china who have not subscribed in the last 30 days, but will likely play in the day when WoD is released.

Probably the majority of china players are accounted for in that 10M, but there still could be a significant bump if there were a lot of them who haven´t logged in during the past 30 days.

If you're waiting for realm stability-wait no longer! lol I play on one of the most populated realms and the last couple nights I've only had to wait 10-15minutes to get in. There is no wait if I want to log in during non-peak hours.
