Update: Added official information. EU emails are starting to go out. There are a few reports of players getting one with small lapses in their subscription.

Gift to Veteran Players: Orc Wolf Rider Mini-Statue
The first people have started receiving their veteran gifts! The statue is an orc riding a wolf; it is a miniature version of the one located outside the Blizzard HQ. Credit to @thebl4ckd0g for the picture of the statue itself and Smitti for the picture of the inscription on the base.

Anniversary Gift

Emails have been sent to North America and Oceanic players to their registered address, which will include shipment tracking info. Our players in Europe will receive a similar email, and their shipments are expected to begin in the next few weeks.

If you're an NA region player (US, Canada, Oceania, Latin America) the receipt of an email is confirmation that you met the criteria to receive an Anniversary celebration gift. Emails have not yet begun to be sent out to our European players, but we'll start sending them soon. Shipment of the gift to EU players will begin in the next few weeks.

Criteria required to receive the gift:
  • Started playing WoW within 60 days of the game launch in your region
  • A continuous subscription for all 10 years, from launch to the Anniversary

We're thankful for everyone that chooses to spend time in Azeroth with us, and hope that this small token of appreciation expresses our gratitude to those few of you that have achieved the incredible milestone of playing World of Warcraft for all these 10 years.

[Update] All notification emails have been sent to NA and EU region recipients.

These gifts have been sent to the physical address associated with eligible Battle.net accounts. To be eligible for this gift, a player must have created a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game launching in the NA or EU regions, and maintained their subscription or game time for all ten years.

Eligible players in the North American region, along with eligible Oceanic players, have been sent tracking information for the gift. Eligible players in Europe will receive tracking information when their gift ships later this month. If the shipping address on that email is incorrect, you will need to contact us with your updated information.

    10 Years x 12 months x 13$ (cheapest) = 1,560 + 6 x 60$ = 1,920$

estimated retail value of statue (not including sentimental value)

    slash agree.

Where do non-hoarders store useless junk? The trash.

Some of you will complain about anything. It was a GIFT, you didn't pay for it, they didn't have to send you one. The orc riding the wolf is symbolic to the company. It's not about horde vs alliance.

The message that comes with the statue uses "stalwart" and "constant companion in our adventures"... so maybe it is a reward for those who had a subscription, uninterrupted, for the entire duration.

Personally, I think it's a brave choice they've made to reward only the veterans who have both been long term subscribers and unwavering in their subscription.

Someone was going to get cut off. The bravery comes in making that choice, and though a lot of people will be jealous (I'm not saying that to you), we should all instead just admire the people that were that dedicated and congratulate them on their epic IRL loot.

    So gratz everyone getting loot!

Way to alienate half your player base. Why would an alliance player want a statue of some random orc!?
    It's just a game man...

You would think they made it a 10 year gift for ANYONE I mean thats the point of the year pass last time if you had to wait 2 years you more then l ikly have stay subed giving them 14.99 for sure. Guess blizzard no like money? ...inc another mount to the blizzard cash shop I mean store.

I missed out on this with a few spotty months of being unsubbed, but grats to those who stayed subbed since day 1. Honestly I think the post-last raid tier content droughts probably kept that pool of players to a very, very small group. I know lots of people who have played since within the 60 days of release with me but stopped during the year of ICC, DS or SoO and will be missing out on it.

Dude, if you don't like it just sell it on Ebay... free money. How cool is that?

Also, Blizzards gift to Alliance is unbalanced racials (OP), over 95% representation in 3v3 Arena at 2400 or 2500+. Say thanks to them making you powerful enough that every single good PvP player (and all their followers) have decided to faction change to Alliance! (This is sarcasm...mostly. Sorry if you don't PvP)

Or just make it a gift as each wave of people hits their 10 years with the game.

Haw, half your player base? Try half of the percentage that actually qualified for the statue. Everyone else is alienated by default by virtue of not getting it at all.
