Update (8:00 PM EST): According to the official post, all US and EU emails have gone out.
Update: Added official information. EU emails are starting to go out. There are a few reports of players getting one with small lapses in their subscription.

Gift to Veteran Players: Orc Wolf Rider Mini-Statue
The first people have started receiving their veteran gifts! The statue is an orc riding a wolf; it is a miniature version of the one located outside the Blizzard HQ. Credit to @thebl4ckd0g for the picture of the statue itself and Smitti for the picture of the inscription on the base.

Anniversary Gift

Emails have been sent to North America and Oceanic players to their registered address, which will include shipment tracking info. Our players in Europe will receive a similar email, and their shipments are expected to begin in the next few weeks.

If you're an NA region player (US, Canada, Oceania, Latin America) the receipt of an email is confirmation that you met the criteria to receive an Anniversary celebration gift. Emails have not yet begun to be sent out to our European players, but we'll start sending them soon. Shipment of the gift to EU players will begin in the next few weeks.

Criteria required to receive the gift:
  • Started playing WoW within 60 days of the game launch in your region
  • A continuous subscription for all 10 years, from launch to the Anniversary

We're thankful for everyone that chooses to spend time in Azeroth with us, and hope that this small token of appreciation expresses our gratitude to those few of you that have achieved the incredible milestone of playing World of Warcraft for all these 10 years.

[Update] All notification emails have been sent to NA and EU region recipients.

These gifts have been sent to the physical address associated with eligible Battle.net accounts. To be eligible for this gift, a player must have created a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game launching in the NA or EU regions, and maintained their subscription or game time for all ten years.

Eligible players in the North American region, along with eligible Oceanic players, have been sent tracking information for the gift. Eligible players in Europe will receive tracking information when their gift ships later this month. If the shipping address on that email is incorrect, you will need to contact us with your updated information.

No need to create an account. FYI.

Nice gesture from Blizz. But expect more sour grapes from die hard Alliance fans who'll turn it into Horde Bias!

It comes in a black box with gold logo and lettering and you need not a continuously active account for the whole 10 years. (e.g. someone who was active during vanilla and only brief periods of 2 of the 5 expansions since, inactive for almost 4 years now got one)

No I don't have one because I am a 9.75 year account vs a 9.85 year account of a true veteran.

I'll ask around and see what some other friends got. Them being in the same boat of the 60 day window but being inactive for 4 years.

What I don't understand is why they didn't use "time subbed" instead of "60 days after game launched." Boo.

Wow... all the total spoiled brats on here.. I was kind of sorry that people were missing out.. but now.. I am SO DAMN HAPPY that even on the SMALLEST level all of you have paid for a part of my reward through your subscriptions (lapsed or not). I truly thank you and hope that your life doesnt run into any REAL problems.. because as you have demonstrated.. "You are not prepared!" <-- if you were unsubbed at the time , you wont get that. ;-)

You will not get a notice from UPS unless you are a user of the UPS My Choice. Blizzard hasn't sent out emails yet.

They may have done that, with time subbed = 10 years - 2 months. People have missed about that much time and still gotten it. Just a guess though.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people, even those not in the WoW community get "You are not prepared."

You must be one of those people that like the "You won't get/remember this if you were born in the 90s"....

They didn't though because a lot of people who were unsubbed for a while still got it.

I made my account during Vanilla beta - my "free month" was during the release. I own all collector's editions of the game. I took a little while off from the game because I was pregnant and had a baby - so let the account lapse for a little bit. Then another time, I had a stolen CC and forgot that my WoW sub was on it. >.< I wonder if I am eligible for it, even during my lapses. =/

Below is the date I first started and when my first re-occuring payment came out...

    12/28/2004 USD 45.43 3-month Recurring, USD 45.43 Expired
    12/27/2004 N/A 1-day Credit Expired
    12/26/2004 N/A 1-day Credit Expired
    12/25/2004 N/A 1-day Credit Expired
    12/24/2004 N/A 1-day Credit Expired
    12/23/2004 N/A 1-day Credit Expired
    11/23/2004 N/A Free Month

Very good to know, thank you! I started the first week of December, but also had to unsub for the same amount of time (~4 months) once due to RL stuff. So excited that I should still be eligible! Now every truck I hear outside today is going to make me run to the window, haha!
