Update (8:00 PM EST): According to the official post, all US and EU emails have gone out.
Update: Added official information. EU emails are starting to go out. There are a few reports of players getting one with small lapses in their subscription.

Gift to Veteran Players: Orc Wolf Rider Mini-Statue
The first people have started receiving their veteran gifts! The statue is an orc riding a wolf; it is a miniature version of the one located outside the Blizzard HQ. Credit to @thebl4ckd0g for the picture of the statue itself and Smitti for the picture of the inscription on the base.

Anniversary Gift

Emails have been sent to North America and Oceanic players to their registered address, which will include shipment tracking info. Our players in Europe will receive a similar email, and their shipments are expected to begin in the next few weeks.

If you're an NA region player (US, Canada, Oceania, Latin America) the receipt of an email is confirmation that you met the criteria to receive an Anniversary celebration gift. Emails have not yet begun to be sent out to our European players, but we'll start sending them soon. Shipment of the gift to EU players will begin in the next few weeks.

Criteria required to receive the gift:
  • Started playing WoW within 60 days of the game launch in your region
  • A continuous subscription for all 10 years, from launch to the Anniversary

We're thankful for everyone that chooses to spend time in Azeroth with us, and hope that this small token of appreciation expresses our gratitude to those few of you that have achieved the incredible milestone of playing World of Warcraft for all these 10 years.

[Update] All notification emails have been sent to NA and EU region recipients.

These gifts have been sent to the physical address associated with eligible Battle.net accounts. To be eligible for this gift, a player must have created a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game launching in the NA or EU regions, and maintained their subscription or game time for all ten years.

Eligible players in the North American region, along with eligible Oceanic players, have been sent tracking information for the gift. Eligible players in Europe will receive tracking information when their gift ships later this month. If the shipping address on that email is incorrect, you will need to contact us with your updated information.

So, seems the true eligibility is "veterans" and "those who spent a lot of money.
I am both, and nothing. So clearly that's not the case : P
But it is really odd then, that someone with 2006 accounts, or multiple lapses still received the gift.

And yes I am quite salty over not qualifying, just another thing I got to "get over".
Oh well, such is life. Used to it, what is one more disappointment? : )

Yeah, could I get an Alliance shield instead?

Anyways, it's about time Blizzard rewarded their vets.

Do you guys think that if you worked at a company for 9 years, resigned on good terms and then a few months later got the job back you wouldn't get a 10 year reward until you've been at the company for............ 10 continuous years, right?

Why do you think companies, game companies at that, should reward people with anything just because they've played a game for 10 years at least once every month?

I think you're the one who needs to take a seat here.
By contrast you're refuting provided evidence in this thread on the basis of.... your imagination, and stamping your feet when that isn't honored as discussion.

No, sir. You take a seat. Off the bus.

I agree with Monocle Cat ....the qq'ing is just beyond belief. People claiming others that subbed in '06 and got it...bullshit...people who say other people have unsubbed for 2-3 years and got it....bullshit...people who say Blizzard is Horde bias, that's why it's an orc....bullshit.....people who say it's a lazy gift....bullshit...just bullshit to all of it. Oh! The best one I've seen numerous times "I've been playing 7-8 years and not considered a veteran...if that's not a veteran I don't know what is" Ummmmm...maybe a person who has played the whole 10 years? Just enough. I have a qq of my own......I got it...now the other people in my house are trying to to get me to sell it on e-bay. At first I seriously thought about it...then thought "Hell no"....I played and paid for 10 years....I earned it. But the most important thing that made me say no.? It's a gift...a thank you. I'm sure most of you will disagree and what not (like I care) but why should I try to make a quick buck off a gift? Seems pretty low to me. Plus I like it...it's pretty neat

That is a pretty cool statue. Not a fan of this game anymore and I don't come anywhere near meeting the criteria but that statue is very neat and I am jelly. Grats to all who will receive it.

Cheap Chinese knocks offs and people are mad over that, cant imagine the tears if the statue was commissioned by Weta. If your still around in another 10 years you might get the crown like the blizzard employees got for 20 years service.

So they wanted us to live though the crap X-packs they made to make this 5$ gift worth it. and now it is worth 1000+ $$$ because off the small % that got it... gg blizzard.

Why are people still debating whether or not blizz is horde bias? hasn't it been established by now that they ARE horde bias? They put a giant ORC statue in front of their main office. They gave 'vets' a bronze ORC statue.
  1. obake1's Avatar
had another GM take a look and tell me because my lapse was greater than 60 days, that made me not eligible lol

Seriously, sell it to get back a portion of what you overpaid for the statue over 10 years of pay time. colored version, way cheaper and looks better. Sell it to some hick who MUST have the bronze version and special text on the underside of the base.

I'm sure the knock off doesn't feel nearly as solid as the real thing. That's putting aside that the knockoff looks like a cheap plastic action figure and the real one has quite a bit of fine details.
