Blizzard Trademarks "Compete"
Blizzard appears to have trademarked "Compete" in the US and some EU countries. The description makes it clear that it isn't related to the WoW Expansion we are all waiting for, but instead an esports tool.
Overwatch Added to the Launcher
Overwatch was added to the launcher today. You can't actually install it, so it is just an advertisement for now.

Talonpriest Ishaal's Last Rites ability should now correctly be considered a stun effect. The effect lasts 3 seconds when used against other players, and shares diminishing returns with other stun effects.

Hellfire Citadel Hellfire High Council
Dia Darkwhisper's Mark of the Necromancer now deals 20% less damage. Additionally, applications of Mark of the Necromancer can no longer be delayed.

I can never promise things will be perfect, but I can promise that much, much learning has happened. (Muffinus) Please say you guys learned HARD from WoD?
I don't think it would be possible not to. (Muffinus) What would you say are the main things that went wrong in WoD?
As a player, not a dev: I wanted less chores, more world content, more MMO content, more inexhaustible content. (Muffinus)
Look at MoP, no one asked for that and MoP was amazing, wasnt a big fan on the asian influences but yeah
MOP is a curious case, solid staying power through patches, dislike during it, love after it, much to reflect (Muffinus)

No one registered anything related to Glades or Prophet in France, where Blizzard EU is headquartered, and where they registered all their trademarks. While they can use the trick of having someone else register, then transfer the trademark once they reveal it, it's doubtful they'd take the risk of someone sniping them the trademark one day before the announce.
Trademarks for generic words should be banned, these are so low...
they're not trademarking the word, they're trademarking an online esports platform that happens to be called compete, you could still make a breakfast cereal and call it compete if you wanted to

Well, I for one distinctly remember thinking during the ToT patch: "this is perfect, my class feels perfect, I dread what Blizz might plan for the next xpac as change just for the sake of it."
Wasn't fond of the 4+ faction dailies right at the start and the 14 months SoO at the end, but other than that: favourite xpac after WotLK.
Should Blizzard introduce retro servers at one point in time I'd probably play on a WotLK and MoP one.
"Flying comes in 6.2.X" Next release is 6.2.1 with Mercenary Mode which was announced nearly a month after the flight annoucement. Right it really was going to be a "couple of weeks" before flight was implemented. Pull the other one Blizz.
