Armory Stats - Flying Achievements
With flying finally here, we are checking back in to see how players are doing on unlocking flight. You can see the numbers from last month here.

The sample used today is 1.8 million players (not characters) that have logged in since August 15th. Only level 100 characters are included in the data. Characters are grouped by player, so no matter how many characters a player has, they only count once.

We included the 200 Treasures achievement just for comparison purposes, only 100 is required for Master Treasure Hunter, which is required for Draenor Pathfinder.

    Wait, how could there only be 10% who got the Treasure achievement yet 28% have Draenor Pathfinder? Something doesn't add up here.

    You dont need to get all 200 treasures to get flying

    Look again, 44% of people have the required Treasure achievement for the Pathfinder achievement, there's nothing off with the graph.

    You didn't have to have the 200 achievement only the 100 one

    The first week or two after 6.2.2 I got a lot of whispers "how can you fly?" - and also saw a couple of questions about how to unlock flight in g-chat.

    Yawn, flying in draenor is utterly redundant at this point "fly places in draenor... you've already been too!" well done Blizzard.

    The guildies that asked were regular socials, so frequently logging in. Only conversations I've seen in g-chat about flying was in the beginning of WoD, people hitting lvl100 asking where to buy flying :P And around the time when Blizzard changed their mind about it. Never any lengthy conversations, could easily be missed by those not online at those particular moment.s

    It's amazing to me how many people pay their $15 a month to Blizzard, yet seemingly don't even play the game. I don't see how anyone who actively plays WoW wouldn't have the flying achievement. It is not difficult to get, or even very time consuming when spread out over many weeks of playing.

    this sounds to me that the unlocking flying wod feature is a huge fail..

    1,7m subs.. thanks to the flying desaster in wod..

    and again.. the next for legion is on the start..

    ravenholdt or sewers? what did you expect from the shitty wod team?
