Battle.Net Voice Chat
It looks like Voice Chat might be coming to the Battle.Net client. An upcoming build has references to Vivox, a company that produces voice chat for games. It is in use already in Eve, World of Tanks, The Elder Scrolls Online, H1Z1, Star Trek Online, Second Life, and many other games. As always, this is just a possibility and nothing is guaranteed! Sometimes features are planned but just don't work out.

Blizzcon - Engineering Panel Update
It looks like Virtual Ticket viewers won't get to see the Engineering Panel after all.

Poll - Voice Chat
Assuming it works as well as it does in the other games that already have integrated it, would you use Battle.Net voice chat?

Meh I can't say the same tbh. The whole server/technical side of a game doesn't interest me personally. It's cool to glance at though so I can imagine your frustration there. As for voice chat after BC voice chat I just think this will be another thing no one uses since there is already good voice software out there such as Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Mumble and Raidcall.

Exactly but we have the other well known voice software for that. Not dismissing it outright but tbh I expect it to go the way of WoW's voice chat.

Voice Chat to WOW it's useless but to Heroes or Overwatch are pretty much welcome.

If the WoW voice chat is simple, and decent, it will be the other clients that will die. The area for Blizzard to shine will be in simplicity.

There is nothing simple about any other voice chat for a novice. If it's built into the launcher, it's already installed and they will likely only need to mess with a couple of check boxes.

So, instead of making a battle.net app for mobiles, we get voice chat for it. WTF?!

Why would you need an app for your phone in the first place?
You cant play games on it except hearthstone

And if you wanted to add WoW time then you could just open a browser and as for chatting with friends well facebook or the WoW app for guildies.

I guess it would be quite helpful for overwatch and hots. For anything else I see people probably just staying with what they use all ready, or giving the new thing a try. So it might be good or not as good. Granted it can't be much worse then the one that is all ready in game.

It wasn't horrible. It was just poorly implemented and the other ones were just better at the time.

If it is as good as 3rd party voip's and doesnt causes less or about the same hit to performance, I would have no issue using it, to have one less program open
