Legion - Thrall and Doomhammer
We found some interesting references to Thrall and Doomhammer. Unfortunately there isn't much more than what is below yet. Keep in mind that this is just a reference in an alpha build of Legion, not something final or officially announced. Spoilers below!

Keep your eyes on Thrall. He's wounded. He's like to kill himself down here and I don't want to be the one to tell his wife!
Doomhammer... it was like a dead weight in my hands. The elements were silent. It has been this way since I used it to slay Garrosh.

Spirits... hear my call...
Are you the so-called "World Shaman?" Hah! You fight like a crippled pig.

Hear me, elements of Azeroth.
Once, we walked as one. I abused your powers for my own personal vendetta.
Take back the Doomhammer! Grant it to one who is worthy.
Teach me, and again I will be your servant.

Legion - Shaman Artifact Intro
A little piece of the Shaman Artifact intro was also found, likely from the ending that takes place in your Class Hall.

You are the chosen defender of Azeroth! May your wisdom guide this circle to victory, and may the power of your artifact crush those who would bring chaos to this land.

The elements have chosen you as their champion, $n. The artifact you wield is proof.
It is your destiny to lead the Earthen Ring against the Burning Legion. We need you. Do you accept this burden?
Yes. I will be your Farseer!

From this map you may dispatch members of the Earthen Ring throughout the Broken Isles. Lead us to victory, Farseer!
This Astral Portal will return you to Dalaran whenever you wish, Farseer. I will keep it open so that you may return here any time.

Legion - Artifact Weapon Previews
Today we have the Elemental Shaman Artifact The Fist of Ra-Den. Several of the shields are missing still, so look for them after a new build.

How is Cheap Shot part of a rotation, surely its only a utility, stun button?
For CC purposes, it can be used as on a rotational basis. It’s not maximum DPS, but still commonly worth it for things like PvP. (WarcraftDevs)

Wtf do you mean blind is gone? Why?? It's my fave Cc! It feels so cocky just to blind a mob. Like "No! Wait your turn!" :'(
That was referring to Subtlety specifically. Different Rogue specs have different ways to CC. For example, you may like Parley. (Celestalon)

Legion Shadow Dance is a letdown to some pvpers. Maybe let an active/passive effect? Passive is negated while on CD, thoughts?
I'd love to hear more about this feedback. People giving it: What frequency are you imagining for the proposed version? (Celestalon)
No sane PvP'er wants to lose the ability to make plays like we can with Shadow Dance. Its just a bad idea.
Again, that's why I'm asking these questions. How are you imagining it will play out? There's clearly a difference. (Celestalon)
The downside is not being able to do stuff on-demand, and positioning not mattering due to Shadowstrike.
So you're saying that you don't expect the proposed version will feel controllable? That's useful feedback. (Celestalon)

Shaman (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator / Artifact Calculator / PvP Talent Calculator)
If there are no weapon drops in Legion, where will a enhancement shaman get his off hand weapon from?
Doomhammer grants shamans the power to form a second weapon from the elements! No need for any lesser weapon drops. (WarcraftDevs)
Is it like a copy of Doomhammer or something else?
Here's an image of it next to Doomhammer! It's also on the Artifact blog here: https://t.co/BJoTNPPtwq (WarcraftDevs)

Will we be able to transmog over the Elemental weapons?
The weapons formed by your elemental powers will behave like normal weapons. You will be able to transmog over them. (WarcraftDevs)

PvP
Will honor kills acquired out in the world contribute to prestige levels? Any support in legion for out of instance PVP?
Honorable kills in the world will reward Honor and can increase your Honor level. (WarcraftDevs)

Perhaps the Elements are above petty vengeance.

Thrall using them to cheat in an honourable duel and tourture/murder an incapacitated man is no better than what the dark shaman did.

If there's any justice in this world, Thrall will just fucking die.

No, actually contributing the the subjugation and slaughter of millions is quite a bit worse than cheating in a duel with a remorseless warmongering tyrant.

You're assuming the Elements give a shit about mortals.

Boden the Imposing yells: If you seek peace, relinquish the World Pillar and leave Deepholm. This is our realm. Your only welcome here shall be found underneath my stone foot.

Boden stomps, knocking the player back halfway across the map.
The dark shaman were randoms the elements never cared much about, while Thrall was the element's golden boy and he betrayed them by using them with hate in his heart. They're right to be pissed at him despite what the dark shaman did in comparison.

Only thing I don't get is why the elements on Azeroth would forsake Thrall if he apparently abused the ones on alt Draenor to kill Garrosh; do they communicate accords time, space, and realities now? Kind of a stupid excuse, but still interesting that Thrall went to the dark side of shammys and forced elements to do his bidding apparently, which he was always against.

That and I think it's BS that doomhammer is all of a sudden this magic elemental hammer whereas it's never displayed anything remarkable in lore before, it was just a really well built warhammer.

Heh... Someone's been reading too much Marvel...

So Thrall is no longer worthy and now can't weild Mjol... I mean, the Doomhammer.

Let me guess, his Ex is going to get sick, pick up the Hammer and become Thrall, but in doing so her treatments will stop working!

Elements are mercurial. They don't remember past glories. They know what you did now - and Thrall violated that.

Of course, this doesn't explain me using Elementals to take back flags in AV...

Bah, HODGSON'S LAW. (Warning: TV Tropes link.)

They're most certainly not. Remember that Fire Elemental from that early Deepholm quest? He's almost certainly out for revenge on Initiate Goldmine after that (and of course it gets its chance in Twilight Highlands).

So are you, given that you apparently think the Elements should care about an orcish honor-duel.

Here's my issue with this WHOLE Doomhammer thing. 1). Doomhammer (the weapon) has no ties to Shamans other than Thrall using it. Doomhammer is in fact a warrior weapon that was wielded by a warrior (Orgrim Doomhammer). So Thrall/ Go'el sacrificing it to another Shaman as a way of trying to mend his ties with the Elements doesn't make sense. Yes, it is a powerful weapon that has been handed down from Orc to Orc, but the Elements truly shouldn't care about a mortal weapon such as it. I liked the idea of Enhancement Shaman's getting Doomhammer because of it's ties to Thrall, but don't allow the reason for him to pass it over be connected to something completely unrelated.

Various quests have element A request vengeance against enemy/element B.
    Elements delve in multiple feelings.

Thrall didn't use them with hate.
He was judge, jury and executioner, for the greater good.

Initially a warrior's weapon, wielded by the strongest shaman for years, therefore being empowered, the same way Ashbringer became what it is due to those wielding it.
An enhancement shaman is precicely a mix of a fighter and shaman.

You could say Thrall slowly attuned the weapon to the elements over the years, but then lost the connection with the elements, and hands it down to someone else with a deep connection to both the elements and fighting (enhancement).

I just hope factions disappear and we can just align to whoever we want.

The concept of Alliance and Horde is becoming less and less meaningful.

A fitting punishment for Thrall because he killed one of the best characters in the series.

I do remember people pointing out Thrall cheated in his fight with Garrosh because of his use of Elements so the guilt trip is well worth it.

I just knew they didn't have the heart to kill off Thralll....of course.
His story has been told, he grew up to be a warrior/hero/leader then a shaman and then saved the world then saved the Horde and then saw his parents which also helped save his own clan (WoD).
Cmon, hes done. Just let him go Blizzard.
You killed off Varian, the face of the Alliance with ease. No problem with that I bet.
And you even killed off Vol'jin, who only JUST started being the leader of the Horde, making a big storyline of him growing into a leader in MoP, with so much potential to see him as a leader during this war... but no...you just kill him off for alittle bit of old "Alliance vs Horde" tension...

I think it would be a far worse punishment for Thrall to lose his connection to the elements than to die. There are fates worse than death.
