Random 5 man heroics be like "Get on Voice chat". Do that or be kicked. Unless that particular random group doesn't feel like using it.
LFR isn't going to use it cause with 25 people its like "Get on Voice chat" "nah" "lol nope" "xD" etc etc. No coordination, just brute force and determination stacks.

Although I do think its a great idea in regards to guild raiding.

Wonder how it will be set up in terms of moderation. Voice chat absolutely has to have someone moderating it, otherwise its going to be complete hell.
Well, you can always mute/ignore I guess.

Is the voice mess still in the game? I have not looked in forever. If so, they can just take it out with this and add a hook for it in the game.

I always thought there should be a Vent addon that would fill and join a vent link, if a Battle.net voice would work like that it could be really nice in WoW.

So far behind. I wish they just redid the in-game voice chat because at this point there are enough VOIP programs to we can use. I've always wanted to to enable voice, and automatically be able to push-to-talk to my dungeon groups etc. Unfortunately their voice chat was so bad that most people don't even know that it currently actually exists in the game to enable it to be able to hear me. I hope another Voice Chat WoW Patch is coming if this Bnet Voice is a success. Joining a Bnet Voice server should be for friends and guilds, but I would like to be able to talk to other people I encounter and play with without taking time to get everyone on Bnet Voice. In-Game should be king.

Why not give us an option to use the same VoIP without downloading extra shit.
Yeah god forbid all those voice chat programs take up a whopping couple hundred megs of your hard drive. You're fooling yourself if you think this is actually going to get people to drop everything else for this.

Because not everyone's computer is made of wood and can handle it.

It has nothing to do with performance or HD space. OMG if you don't have a 1TB HD in this day and age or more then you should probably pick one up for a whole $40. I'm saying it is a lot nicer to add someones battle.tag and click "Voice chat" than go into mumble, enter server information, and join their channel.

A lot of people who does have an SSD does not have 1 TB, they often have no HHD at all. 256 GB or 512 GB are normal and there you don't have space for everything.

It has nothing to do really with how much space they take up it has more to do with ease of use.. When you have say six different VOIP programs it becomes a pain every time you join a pug.. Instead of getting straight into the thick of things you are spending time putting in the server information and password for whatever VOIP program the Pug lead is using..

Since not everyone is using the same program and not every one is on the same server it becomes a chore and to be frank a lot of pugs don't even use a VOIP program for many reasons from cost to having to wait for raid members getting said program and then putting in the server and password info..

If this new Blizzard VOIP program works and it should since from reading on here a few months back Blizzard are having a third party supply the VOIP software but not really sure.. But all of this new voice chat is old news as it has been known since October 2015..

https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/c...he_voice_chat/ And from the first poster here was saying that the Voice Chat that Blizzard are in the process of implementing is insanely high quality with it being said that it is better than "average Skype quality" so if this is what is coming into the Battlenet Client then all the better for us..

It's still in the game, it's just disabled by default. to go the game menu -> System -> Voice and enable voice chat. Maybe they will remove it in 6.2.4? Or it'll be secondary to the B.net client, who knows.

The reason it failed before was that you had to change toons, you had to reconfigure the chat all over again. Having it in the B.net app makes sense actually, as it would be separate from the game itself, much like Ventrillo or Mumble is now.

think if they do it right (not like the first voice chat they use back in the day) is goin to fun. gettin into random groups and bein able to communicate or listening randomness. also will bring community together. and you can always not use it

im in the over watch beta, and the voice chat has actually been pretty good there. if this is the same tech, than i could see it working out just fine. No more having to join some ones shitty voice server for pugs. My guild will continue to use our TS3 server, but that's because it servers a larger purpose than just wow.

Can anyone take part in a study for my dissertation which takes 10 minutes and includes a short computer task and survey. I can provide you with a debrief when it has been completed should you wish to know any more details about the project.
I am looking for people with a variety of experience so any help would be fantastic, and if there is anyone you would be able forward the link to it would be very much appreciated. I am looking for as many participants as possible.

The link to the study is:

They screwed it up terrible in 2007 (or so ) They successfully took down login servers, and entire realms, if the realms were even up they lagged to the point they were unplayable even for low lvl questing.
    2 weeks.

Currently they are having huge battle.net problems and connectivity problems.

    Do the math.

For a service no one used the first time they tried it.
