Legion - Fishing Artifact
Legion adds the Underlight Angler, which has a tree of artifact traits that gives you access to traits like:


Prerequisites

Acquisition
  • Soon after meeting the prerequisites, you will fish up the Luminous Pearl
  • You then take the Pearl to Khadgar.
  • Khadgar gives you a pat on the head and tells you to put in in the Dalaran fountain.
  • Nat Pagle appears in the fountain with a quest for you, sending you to a Val'sharah scenario to look at the fish frenzy going on:
    • Kill Murlocs - Slay all of the murlocs on the island.
    • Fishing - Fish up the Gloaming Frenzies.
    • Delivery - Give Nat your Gloaming Frenzies.
    • What's below? - Fish up what's been disturbing the frenzies.
    • Mglrrp - Slay Mglrrp.
  • After slaying Mglrrp, Nat realizes that part of him would make a great fishing pole.
  • The pearl you fished up is used as an Artifact forge (that doesn't appear to be working correctly right now).
  • Leveling up the Artifact requires you to equip the Underlight Angler and catch rare fish that grant Artifact Experience.

The time of the Burning Legion’s return is fast approaching, and as we begin our final preparations, we thought it’d be a good time to start up a new series of live developer Q&A sessions!

Every Thursday for the next several weeks, starting at 11 a.m. PT, we’ll be going live on Twitch.tv/Warcraft to answer questions submitted by the World of Warcraft community.     It's MMO-C, nobody is ever satisfied with anything. Most people here live to find fault with everything. We're WoW players. Best example is the PTR yesterday. People get on it and the first thing they do is complain about how things aren't working properly... on the PTR... where things are actually going to be not working properly... because it's the PTR. Yep, WoW and MMO-C are loaded with mental "giants" like these.

    The dialogue in the movie was some of the worst written gibberish i've ever seen. b-level bruce campbell films had better scripts. with as much production and time and hype that went into the move, i'm amazed that the script came out as if it was written by a high-school drama class full of 14 year olds.

    It's exactly what you said. Backpedal all you want. Not everyone likes the same things.

    Has anybody else run into trouble with the Luminous Pearl Fishing quest? I threw it in the fountain and its now floating above it like shown above. Only problem is that Nat Pagle DID NOT spawn. Did they deactivate it for now or is this a bug? Wondering if anyone else has done it since the build deployed on the 28th i think it was?

    UPDATE-7/2/16- I logged on after the long "World Server Down" downtime and nat pagle was chasing me around Dalaran with the Fish Frenzy quest ready to go. I was able to complete the quest chain and obtain the Underlight Angler. If you'd like to see the final part of the quest being completed try finding it on youtube or private message me for a link.
    Thank you so much for the original post!! I've been wanting to test this since I first caught wind of it.

    At this time it is still incomplete.

    - The AP fish you catch do not yet add any Artifact Power like they are supposed to.
    - The "Undercurrent" ability does not seem to be implemented yet.
    - Because of the above issues, you are unable to start your trait unlocks or add any AP to the pole. It does not start with 100 like other artifacts. (I'm guessing they are still finalizing/working on the traits.)
    - Currently only one appearance option showing at the pearl(forge).
