That wouldnt be that bad tbh.
First, the top guilds wouldnt be forced to tryhard so much.
Second, they would have enough time to gear up for the final boss, meaning no overtuned encounter and no need for some gimmicks/suspicious tactics.
Third, the whiners wouldnt complain about the content (that they will never complete anyway) is cleared so fast.

They could do something like ICC. New wing each week (if i remember correctly). Ooooh and only 50 tries for the final boss please

It clearly takes place after because we get Illidan's soul from Helya to put in Xera (soul prism of the illidari follow up) to put in his body which Gul'dan has in NH .

Blizz has many times mentioned they aren't using the player defined "Tier" terms. This is most clearly shown by Xavius aotc going away when NH hits.

False, this is all one tier of content. AOTC/Cutting Edger Xavius is not getting removed until 7.2

As another note, this means that Cutting Edge: Xavius and Ahead of the Curve: Xavius will become unobtainable with the release of Nighthold on January 17.

Well according to the source I linked above and stated by a Blue it's going away in Nighthold. So yeah you got till the 17th US and 18th Europe to get your AOTC and Cutting Edge stuff done.

Actually you are the one that seems confused and misinformed. Blizzard does not define raids by tiers. They are all separate and as they stated, the achievement for xavius hc goes away with the release of nighthold. its come to a point where we should stop using tier aswell to be honest

Bro, people are literally linking you a blue post confirming curve will be removed when Nighthold hits. Who cares about pendatics and what 'defines' a tier when the literal word from the lion's mouth itself says curve will be going away. So maybe less answering back and more paying attention to what a couple of people are trying to tell you, yes?

And it kind of makes sense, too. The gear advantage of NH items would defeat the challenge of curve: Xavius.
