You can use Battle.net Balance to buy services like World of Warcraft character transfers, digital products like pets and mounts, and even purchase in-game items for other supported Blizzard games you play.

Buying a Token is simple: just visit the Auction House and use your hard-earned gold to purchase one of the WoW Tokens put up for sale. Once the Token arrives in your in-game mailbox, right-click it to add it to your bag, then right-click it in your inventory. You’ll then be able to choose whether to add 30 days of game time or add Battle.net Balance ($15 USD; currency and amount varies by region) to your Battle.net account.

*WoW Tokens can only be redeemed for Battle.net Balance in the currency associated with the registered Battle.net account address. Other restrictions apply.

FAQ

Q: I need gold! How do I buy a WoW Token for real money and put it up for sale for gold?
A: WoW Tokens are available for purchase for real money through the World of Warcraft in-game Shop. You can access the Shop through the main menu (Esc) or the row of feature buttons next to your character’s bags.

You can then sell your WoW Token through a dedicated exchange in the Auction House, located in the WoW Token section. WoW Tokens cannot be traded or sold any other way.

Q: How much gold will I receive when I sell a WoW Token?
A: The gold value of a Token is determined dynamically based on supply and demand. When you put a Token up for sale, you’ll be quoted the amount of gold you’ll receive upon a successful sale. If you then decide to place the Token up for sale, that amount is locked in, and the gold will be sent to your mailbox after your Token has been sold.

Q: I need game time or Battle.net Balance! How do I buy a WoW Token from the Auction House?
A: When you visit the Auction House, you’ll be presented with the current market price (in gold) for a WoW Token in your game region—there’s no bidding involved, and all Tokens in a game region are priced the same at any given moment. If you decide to purchase one, you’ll receive it in your mailbox, and can then redeem it for game time or Battle.net Balance.

Q: How much game time or Battle.net Balance do I get by redeeming a WoW Token?
A: You’ll receive 30 days of game time or $15 USD (amount varies by currency; currency is based on registered Battle.net account address) in Battle.net Balance when you redeem a WoW Token.

Q: I purchased a WoW Token for gold a while back, but never redeemed it. Can I use that WoW Token to get Battle.net Balance now?
A: Yes, any previously purchased WoW Tokens that you haven’t yet redeemed for game time can now be redeemed for Battle.net Balance (in supported regions).

Q: Is there a limit on how much Battle.net Balance I can redeem using the WoW Token?
A: Yes—for more information, read our Battle.net Balance Restrictions support article.

Q: Can I resell a WoW Token after I’ve purchased it for gold?
A: No, each WoW Token can only be sold once. After you purchase a Token for gold, it becomes Soulbound. At that point, it can only be redeemed for game time or Battle.net Balance.

Q: What happens if the price quoted to me is different from what the Token actually sells for?
A: You will always receive the gold amount quoted to you at the time you place a Token up for sale, regardless of what the current price is when the item actually sells.

Q: If I buy a WoW Token from the Auction House, how long does it take to receive the Token?
A: Just like a standard Auction House purchase, it should arrive in your mailbox within moments after making your purchase.

Q: If I’m buying a WoW Token for real money from the in-game Shop, how long does it take to receive it?
A: Once you successfully complete a purchase, in most cases the Token should arrive in your inventory (or mailbox, if your inventory is full) almost immediately.

Q: Do Tokens expire? What happens if I accidentally delete one?
A: No, Tokens do not expire. They also can’t be deleted, so no need to fear accidentally trashing them.

If tokens go to absurd prices.. they'll just quit. Blizzard has lost the trust and faith of way to many people including myself. Only reason I stick around is well.. literally I play for free and have since the token launched. 25-40k is a reasonable price. 65k+.. for most people isn't viable and I honestly can see their subs dropping even further due to this. They need to imo put a cap on the cost of tokens in game and w/o one.. it's only gonna hurt their bottom line.

Just another cash grab by their dev team. Due to the terrible devs they have this xpac and the resulting huge decline in subs they are doing what ever they can to filter more cash in.
this is true there are people who are playing for free technically by paying with their gold.

if they can't afford the gold, which they probably won't want to grind 250k a month on EU to play they'll just quit, i don't see how this is a positive to blizzard.

    no stock left

cant even buy buy buy meme economy

I only used tokens to play too, cuz I play too many games to bother paying for 1.

Imagine all those players with 100+million gold are going to buy those pricey tokens. Gold will flood the economy and now the price on everything will rise.

    Dropping subs?

How about*all the players that will keep their subs,*because they don't mind*paying for the subscription but they consider the price of Realm Transfers, and Faction Changes to high? What about the players who left for this same reason coming back now that they can move characters to realms their friends play on...for free.

And considering this has been asked for since before it was announced a the last Blizzcon, don't blame Blizzard, blame*other players.

Ya that's kinda how I feel about it. Subbed until early next month so whatever gold I get will be spent on more balance. Gotta buy OW and HOTS stuff lol.

Shit is about to change with WoW in a lot of ways.

    1) People no longer can sub with gold mite leave.

    2) People can server transfer without spending a dime, that will kill servers.

    3) People can faction transfer without spending a dime, that will make servers more unbalanced.

Its all going to be interesting to watch.

    1) Brings the token down in price.
    2) Brings the token up in price.
    3) Brings the token up in price.
    4) Yes, very.

We'll see a new ceiling over the next few days. My guess is close to 175k. Could spike to 200k, but over time, it'll drop down slowly in anticipation of the next expansion.

    Edit - For EU, obviously.

No one can transfer for free. The tokens cost $20. Just because the person using the token to transfer did not pay, doesn't mean it was not a paid transfer. A token transfer costs MORE then a money transfer since Blizzard takes $5 of the token price before loading a Bnet Balance with a Token. A token transfer must gather the gold needed before transferring, that costs TIME for the token user, as well as MONEY for the token seller. Why people think tokens = free stuff is a mystery to me.

Why you think people are saying this is a mystery to me.....

No shit it cost $25 to transfer, Someone can spend two tokens and do it. Those who have a huge amount of tokens or gold will do this because for a lot of people they value there money over there time/gold.

I just dumped all my tokens into my Bnet. If I really wanted to I got enough bnet to transfer 6 characters.
    (As a example)

Technically,*transfers and such aren't free. But to the person who paid gold for the token, it was free to them because they spent no money to do it.

I bought the expansions, i bought several months with money already. So i already paid for the game multiple times and I havent said a single word about me in my previous post. But tell me another game where you have to pay a monthly fee after you bought the game itself, furthermore tell me another game which has 6 expansions each lets say 40$ and a 15$ fee for every month for years, because i don't really remember any other game which would cost 500-1000$+ money just to play it without any microtransactions. There are a plenty of more mmo-s and AAA games which only requires to buy for 60$ for a lifetime, furthermore there are a lot of free games for example the most played game : LoL.
I know you can't compare this, and "why am i not playing those then", because I enojoy this one the most, however it doesn't mean that i need to obey to any conditions what blizz set to just play the game.

ALL tokens cost $20. Just because YOU did not pay $20 to load your bnet doesn't mean $20 was not paid for you to load your bnet.

If you are using gold you just happen to accumulate while naturally playing the game then it basically is free TO THAT PLAYER. now if that player is specifically dedicating time to farming gold then you could say they are paying for it in time spent, but if it just gold being naturally accumulated then it is a different story. a matter of perception really.

Once again......NO SHIT. No one is saying this we know the transfer rate is $15 per token.

That is still only costing 2 tokens to move 1 character and many people will spend the gold/tokens to do it. Dam do try to fallow along a little bit.

There is no "matter of perception". EVERY token in play in the game always costs $20. There are NO free tokens given to anyone. ALL of them are paid for.

And some people value there money over there time, So for them its free.

I can make money not really trying, but the gold cost is already getting above a price I like. Therefore I won't be doing it anymore but that is more.

The token that was bought by person X cost them $20. The person who spend gold to buy the same token only cost them time not $$$$.....

For the person who only spent time to get the token its free for them(via no cost of $$$ on there end).

    Get it yet?
