Build of the MonthGoroth is a boss in the Tomb of Sargeras raid in World of Warcraft. Our strategy guide will help you to defeat the Goroth encounter and the loot listing below contains all of the loot he drops on each difficulty.

Positioning
- Goroth should be tanked near the center of the room, slightly off to one side.
- Melee DPS should stand between the boss and the middle of the room.
- Ranged DPS should be in a small group, generally in a close line towards the boss.
- This helps spikes from Infernal Spikes form in a line, making it easier to hit multiple spikes during Shattering Star.
Strategies by Role

- Avoid getting hit by Infernal Spikes.
- Avoid the path of Shattering Star when it's targeted at other players.
- Run behind spikes during Infernal Burning.
DPS
- If targeted by Shattering Star, move so that the path of the star goes through multiple spikes.
- Do not destroy all of the spikes, as you'll need at least one up during Infernal Burning.
- If targeted by Crashing Comet, move away from spikes and other players.
Healers
- After Shattering Star, prepare to heal the group quickly, as it does very high raid-wide damage.
Tanks
- Do not move the boss if possible, taking special care not to move him near any spikes.
- Goroth will destroy spikes if he's near them.
- When you receive the Burning Armor debuff, run away from the raid and all spikes. Use movement abilities if possible.
- When the main tank receives Burning Armor, the off tank should taunt the boss.

As punishment for past failures, Goroth's flesh is marred with searing wounds. With every movement this behemoth makes, his flesh crackles and hisses with unending torment, a scourge he is happy to inflict upon those who oppose him.- Overview - Goroth continuously gains fel energy until he can unleash Infernal Burning, decimating any enemy it hits. Use Infernal Spikes to survive Infernal Burning and Shattering Star. In Mythic difficulty, Infernal Spikes explode when destroyed inflicting raid wide damage.
Damage Dealers - - Hide behind Infernal Spikes to avoid being hit by Infernal Burning.
- Avoid destroying Infernal Spikes when targeted with Crashing Comet.
- Aim Shattering Star to collide with multiple Infernal Spikes to decrease damage taken.
Healers - - Hide behind Infernal Spikes to avoid being hit by Infernal Burning.
- Avoid destroying Infernal Spikes when targeted with Crashing Comet.
- Aim Shattering Star to collide with multiple Infernal Spikes to decrease damage taken.
Tanks - - Hide behind Infernal Spikes to avoid being hit by Infernal Burning.
- Avoid destroying Infernal Spikes when affected by Burning Armor.
- Burning Armor - Inflicts 1,100,000 Fire damage every 2 sec for 6 sec. Upon expiring, Burning Armor explodes for 1,075,000 Fire damage and applies Melted Armor to all enemies in a 10 yd radius.
- Melted Armor - Increases all damage taken by 300%.
- Crashing Comet - Goroth targets up to 3 enemies with Crashing Comet, inflicting 928,500 Fire damage to all enemies within 10 yds. This explosion destroys pillars.
- Crashing Comet - Goroth targets up to 3 enemies with Crashing Comet, inflicting 1,300,000 Fire damage.
- Infernal Spike - Infernal Spikes erupt from the ground, inflicting 1,028,500 Fire damage to anyone in the area.
- Shattering Star - Goroth selects a target and then hurls a Shattering Star at them after 6 sec, inflicting 1,790,000 Fire damage to all enemies within 200 yards. This damage is decreased by every Infernal Spike the Shattering Star collides with.
If the Shattering Star collides with no Infernal Spikes, the target is ignited, suffering 4,000,000 Fire damage every 1 sec for 12 sec.
Any other targets struck by the Shattering Star while it is traveling to its target take 537,500 Fire damage. 
Infernal Burning - Goroth ignites everyone he can see, inflicting 2,645,000 Fire damage immediately and 1,060,000 Fire damage every 2 sec for 10 sec.
Fel Eruption - Fel lava erupts from the edges of the room, leaving pools that inflict 321,000 Fire damage every 1 sec.- Rain of Brimstone - Goroth calls down 4 meteors, each inflicting 10,000,000 Fire damage divided evenly between each of the targets. A Brimstone Infernal will spawn if a meteor fails to hit any targets.

- Fel Fire - Ignites the area surrounding the caster, inflicting [ 357,000 + 2.2% of Spell Power ] Fire damage to all nearby enemies every 1 sec. Lasts 8 sec.
