Final Tuning on Netherlight Crucible
Some last minute changes were made to the Netherlight Crucible powers.

In general, these changes are intended to bring the value of the various powers closer together, and ensure they’re desirable choices for players. We’ve loosened the restrictions these powers had on the PTR, so effects that previously did not take your character’s modifiers into account are now improved by things like Haste and Critical Strike, and relevant buffs or debuffs that are part of your class. We also updated numerical tuning to take those changes into account.

Tuning Changes:

The above all differ from what you may have seen on the PTR, and we appreciate the time and effort that testers put into providing the feedback we received.

Not a fan of tying more power to the rng of conc procs, but seems pretty small stuff at least.

so that means it'll scale with warriors 100% crit window, but won't scale with elemental shamans 280% critical damage.

    fuck you again blizz ..|..

It could be worse you could be a mage, the only class that wont get any benefit from their wpns dmg % increase for the new shadow procs or mages and shadow priest that get nothing from the holy ones.

cause your totally going to pick holy ones as shadow....

and some of the shadow ones do work for mages, they have there own internal damage difference, for classes that dont have shadow/holy multipliers.

aka the shadow damage proc does more damage on a mage baseline then it does for a shadowpriest.

Am I reading this wrong or are there going to be a lot of classes/specs that will now want high haste rating? For instance, MM Hunters require so little it's almost non existant.

You can't control your choices so you might have to. All classes except mages and shadow priest have multipliers to all damage. For shadow priests and mages it is specific to their 1 school of magic damage. Causing issues with trinket proc damage for months and still going on now.

All I see is that the gap for the top performers is only going to get bigger....

They're making it more like the trinkets whose PPM can be increased by haste rating.

Are any of the damage/healing/absorption procs going to scale with AP/spellpower? Some of these are only worth about 5000 dps under optimal conditions or will randomly (over)heal or absorb less than half a dungeon boss' autoattack.

except the trinkets with increased PPM proccing off of haste again, which Shadowpriests will reck at, and mages do well enough at.

Proc based bonuses on top of procs on top of procs... I am not excited about this aspect of the crucible... :|

By tomorrow they're going to fix the Crucible so it only allows you to access it by chance.

Proc chance increased by haste, would be "lovely" for Holy Priests

What a stupid change and just befor it's released, without any testing? Oh, and more RNG, such "fun"!
What kind of amateurs are you, Blizzard?

MM hunters have multiplier only to focus spenders, so it does jack shit to us too, and haste is near worthless after a few percent. Bm hunter too have mastery that increases only pet and dire beast damage, but haste is more valuable to them.

These effects ignore outside damage mods completely, Unholy Death Knight mastery has zero effect on the shadow half.

You complain over RNG, but nothing would be more boring than "you unlocked crucible, you now have 8,23% more damage, have fun"

Ill take the procs in this case.

That's a good point, and a tough crowd to make it to! :salute:

The fact is we do have control via choices but ultimately there's some RNG via procs and such. It's a fine line, yes, but as you said it's ultimately more interesting than flat buffs.

People always whine for the sake of barfing out random ideas. The crucible i believe is extremely OP, not because of the offensive parts, but because of the shield-like abilities and self-heals which will account for way less deaths on mythic progression. What the fuck is there not to be happy about? You can stand in more fire (or get combo-ed less).
