Portal Keeper Hasabel is a boss in the Antorus, the Burning Throne raid in World of Warcraft. Our strategy guide will help you to defeat the Portal Keeper Hasabel encounter and the loot listing below contains all of the loot he drops on each difficulty.
Overview
Portal Keeper Hasabel is an encounter where in addition to the main boss platform you have three accessible portals where mini bosses will spawn at set boss health values. After each mini boss, the encounter becomes more difficult, making the last phase the most damage intensive.
Heroic Changes
- This fight does not contain Heroic specific mechanics, however a general increase in difficulty should be expected.
Strategy and Positioning
- The strategy and positioning section will be broken into four parts, based on which platform you are assigned to when the mini bosses spawn.
Nexus (Main Boss):
- One tank, most of the healers, and strong aoe dps should stay on this platform when mini bosses spawn.
- The boss should be tanked at the edge of the platform, and should be moved to the opposite side during Collapsing World.
- Transport Portal will spawn three types of adds depending on which phase the boss is in
- Phase 1: Felblaze Imps should be grouped and interrupted while killing them.
- Phase 2: In addition to the Imps, Feltouched Skitterers will spawn which immobilize random targets. Hard crowd control, such as a stun, will interrupt this ability.
- Phase 3: In addition to the Imps, and Skitterers, Hungering Stalkers will spawn. Interrupt their Howling Shadows cast, because it will deal a large amount of raid wide damage and interrupt players otherwise.
Xoroth (Orange, 90%):
- Composition: one tank, one healer, most of the single target dps.
- Interrupt Flames of Xoroth and Unstable Portal while killing the mini boss.
- Avoid standing in the fire zones.
- After killing the boss, an assigned player should pick up and orb by running into it, then taking it to the purple portal.
Rancora (Green, 60%):
- Composition: one tank, two healers, most of the single target dps.
- Stack under the mini boss to easily cleave the Felsilk Wrap when someone is trapped.
- Interrupt Unstable Portal.
Nathreza (Purple, 30%):
- The orange orb which was dropped near the purple portal should be picked up and taken to Nathreza before the mini boss appears.
- Composition: one tank, two healers, most of the single target dps.
- The raid should should stack near the orange orb while killing the mini boss
- The healers should delay dispelling Delusions to help them gain some mana back.
- Interrupt Unstable Portal.
- If you run into the orange orb by mistake, do not dispel it or use an immunity, because it will disappear.

All Roles
- Avoid standing in Collapsing World or Felstorm Barrage on the Nexus platform.
- The Felblaze Imps and Hungering Stalkers are affected by mass crowd control such as Gorefiend’s Grasp or Mind Bomb, which makes it easier to interrupt all of them at once.
- If you are rooted by Acidic Web in a Felstorm Barrage consider using a personal damage reduction cooldown to survive.
DPS
- Strong single target dps should be assigned to the Platforming group, while strong aoe dps should stay behind to deal with Transport Portal while the mini bosses are active.
Healers
- The group on the Nexus platform will take increasing periodic damage while a mini boss is active.
- When the tanks taunt swap the raid will take a burst of damage directly proportional to the number of Reality Tear stacks the tank has.
- After each mini boss is killed, the raid will take an additional amount of flat periodic damage.
Tanks
- Tank the boss at the edge of the platform, and taunt swap at about three stacks of Reality Tear.
- Tanks should taunt swap before going on the mini boss platform to reduce the number of stacks that build up.

Portal Keeper Hasabel maintains the nexus through which the Legion has unleashed its insidious armies upon countless worlds. With portals that open to a myriad of strategic locations throughout the Great Dark Beyond, Hasabel is capable of bringing the might of the Legion's arsenal to bear upon any who oppose her.
- Overview - Portal Keeper Hasabel commands the portal nexus for the Burning Legion, transporting demons to and from the frontlines. At 90% health remaining, Hasabel opens a fiery portal to Xoroth to burn her enemies. Vulcanar arrives through the portal and empowers it until his death. At 60% health remaining, Hasabel opens a fel portal to Rancora to liquify her enemies. Lady Dacidion arrives through the portal and empowers it until her death. At 30% health remaining, Hasabel opens a shadow portal to Nathreza to confuse the minds of her enemies. Lord Eilgar arrives through the portal and empowers it until his death.

Tanks -
- Platform: Nexus - A central platform that connects Legion portals.
- Reality Tear - Tears open a ripping portal upon a target, inflicting 583,200 Physical damage every 2 sec for 30 sec. This effect stacks.
Upon expiration, the portal detonates with Bursting Darkness.
- Bursting Darkness - Inflicts 247,875 Shadow damage to all players for each stack of Reality Tear.
Collapsing World - Creates a portal to a collapsing world, inflicting 2,148,000 Shadow damage to all players on the nexus platform. Players within 30 yds suffer an additional 2,995,000 Shadow damage and are knocked away from the explosion.- Felstorm Barrage - Opens a portal for a massive fel barrage, inflicting 3,100,000 Fire damage in a line and knocking back all players struck.
- Transport Portal - Opens a portal to ferry various demons to assist the caster. The rift remains open for 10 sec.
- Felblaze Imp -
Fiery Detonation - Explodes in a fiery blaze, inflicting 747,000 Fire damage to all players within 100 yds, destroying the caster. This causes players to suffer an additional 100% damage from subsequent detonations for 6 sec.- Unrelenting - Periodically increases movement speed by 20% and damage done by 10%.
- Feltouched Skitterer -
- Acidic Web - Fires webs at a player's feet, immobilizing them for 5 sec. The target also suffers 196,000 Nature damage every 1 sec.
- Unrelenting - Periodically increases movement speed by 20% and damage done by 10%.
- Hungering Stalker -
- Howling Shadows - Inflicts 857,500 Shadow damage to all players within 60 yds, interrupting spellcasting for 6 sec.
- Unrelenting - Periodically increases movement speed by 20% and damage done by 10%.
Catastrophic Implosion - When no players are on the nexus platform, all portals within the citadel implode, inflicting 2,145,000 Fire damage to all players.
This effect increases all cast speeds by 100% and damage done by 25% for 12 sec and stacks.
- Platform: Xoroth - Flames and fiery demons pour forth from Xoroth.
- Empowered Portal: Xoroth - Vulcanar empowers a burning portal to Xoroth, inflicting 296,800 Fire damage to all players in the Nexus every 2 sec.
This effect increases in intensity by 4% every 3 sec.
- Portal: Xoroth - Flames continue to stream out of the portal upon Vulcanar's death, inflicting 226,500 Fire damage to all players in the Nexus every 4 sec.
- Vulcanar -
- Aegis of Flames - A shell of fire reduces damage taken by 90%.
- Flames of Xoroth - Unleashes the Flames of Xoroth on players within 10 yds, inflicting 714,000 Fire damage immediately with an additional 357,000 Fire damage every 1 sec for 5 sec.
- Supernova - Marks a location for a supernova, which explodes after a short duration. This detonation inflicts 2,860,000 Fire damage to all players within 6 yds and knocks them into the air.
- Unstable Portal - 30 sec after arriving in the world, the caster begins to rupture the portal, inflicting 3,005,000 Fire damage to all players.
This effect increases all cast speeds by 20% and damage done by 25% for 12 sec and stacks.
- Everburning Flames - Everburning Flames stick to players, inflicting 500,000 Fire damage every 2 sec for 10 sec. Upon being removed, the flames fall and remain on the ground.
- Everburning Light - Players within 10 yards of Everburning Flames are provided with Everburning Light, protecting them from the shadows of Nathreza.
- Platform: Rancora - Many skittering demons originate from the fel infused Rancora.
- Empowered Portal: Rancora - Lady Dacidion empowers a fel portal to Rancora, inflicting 399,712 Nature damage to all players in the Nexus every 2 sec.
This effect increases in intensity by 10% every 3 sec.
- Portal: Rancora - Fel magic continues to stream out of the portal upon Lady Dacidion's death, inflicting 378,675 Nature damage to all players in the Nexus every 4 sec.
- Lady Dacidion -
- Felsilk Wrap - Blasts a player with webbing, inflicting 937,500 Nature damage. This stuns the target within the webbing and inflicts 188,000 Nature damage every 1 sec until it is destroyed.
- Leech Essence - Leeches health from the 5 nearest players within 70 yds on the Rancora platform, inflicting 15% of their current health as Nature damage. The caster is healed for 5 times this amount.
- Poison Essence - Poisons the health of all players within 70 yds on the Rancora platform, inflicting 15% of their current health as Nature damage.
- Unstable Portal - 30 sec after arriving in the world, the caster begins to rupture the portal, inflicting 3,005,000 Fire damage to all players.
This effect increases all cast speeds by 20% and damage done by 25% for 12 sec and stacks.
- Caustic Slime - Coming into contact with the fel pools of Rancora inflicts 279,000 Nature damage every 2 sec for 20 sec.
Upon being removed, triggers a Caustic Detonation.

Caustic Detonation can be used to remove a stack of Aegis of Flames.
- Platform: Nathreza - Latent shadows and deception is core to the homeworld of Nathreza.
- Empowered Portal: Nathreza - Lord Eilgar empowers a shadowy portal to Nathreza, inflicting 399,564 Shadow damage to all players in the Nexus every 3 sec and reducing damage done by 2% for 4 sec.

This effect stacks.
- Unstable Portal - 30 sec after arriving in the world, the caster begins to rupture the portal, inflicting 3,005,000 Fire damage to all players.

- Mind Fog - The shadows of Nathreza cloud the mind and reduces the ability to see longer distances.
Players with Everburning Light are provided with vision to clear their minds.
- Cloying Shadows - Magic clings to players that step within the heart of Nathreza, reducing healing received by 50% for 30 sec.
Upon expiration, that player triggers Hungering Gloom. - Hungering Gloom - Inflicts 1,070,000 Shadow damage to all other creatures and players within 8 yds, reducing all healing received by 100% for 60 sec. This duration is reduced on players.

Portal Keeper Hasabel drops item level 915 (LFR), 930 (Normal), 945 (Heroic), 960 (Mythic) loot. Loot can have higher item levels if it becomes Titanforged or Warforged.
