New Warrior Legendary Weapon Reveal: Woecleaver

Patch 7.3.5 - Artifact Weapon Ending
During Blizzcon, Blizzard hinted that our artifact weapons were going to get a proper send-off and not continue into the next expansion. We have been able to find hints of just how this will play out. The following dialogue contains spoilers!

Magni Bronzebeard: The sword of Sargeras is poisonin' the very lifeblood of the world. The only vessels capable o' containin' that kind o' power... are the mighty weapons you wield. Raise them up as one.... draw out the corruption from the Dark Titan's blade! Together, champions! For Azeroth!

Patch 7.3.5 - The Nighthold
The uninstanced version of the Nighthold has seen some changes on the PTR, becoming more of a small faction hub. Both Alliance and Horde can visit as of now. There are teleport stations that lead to Dalaran and Orgrimmar usable by the Horde as well as all of your favorite characters from the Suramar campaign, such as Thalyssra and Theryn. Pandaren monks have also arrived to teach the Nightborne the ways of the Monk class.

Patch 7.3.5 -Thunder Totem
While most of the Bloodtotem tribe became corrupted by the Legion, the few who did not have now sought refuge at Thunder Totem. On top of this, Pandaren monks have arrived to teach the Highmountain Tauren the ways of the Monk class.

Patch 7.3.5 - Antorus Instanced Vindicaar
Not much is changed between the raid instance version of the Vindicaar and the one you visit daily. All of the champions involved in the campaign (except Illidan) are now standing together and have new dialogue to address their thoughts now that the Legion is finally defeated. There is also a fully functional Netherlight Crucible that can be teleported to and used during the raid once you can skip to Argus and defeat him first. The skybox has also been updated to show the vastness of space and some void infected planets.

Patch 7.3.5 - New Command Boards
The command boards in Orgrimmar and Stormwind have received visual upgrades on top of a new UI. They use the same menu now that we used to choose our artifact weapons and your options change as you level up. You also get a small picture and a brief description of the zone and what the story will contain.

Patch 7.3.5 - Silithus
The area around the sword in Silithus has also been changed. Azerite nodes have appeared, Horde and Alliance areas have been added, and the ground is no longer red.

Silithus - Live

Patch 7.3.5 - New Racial Icons at Character Creation Screen
The icons on the character creation menu have all received face lifts!

Wow artefact "death" is so f lame. We don't use it to end legion for good or kil Sargy - we use it for "soaking" poisons puddle like some kid of rags?

    So Magni...

You're saying I have no choice...I MUST destroy the Artifact Weapon that I've poured my life into for the last year, done thousands of world quests to power up, and spent countless hours unlocking all the appearances?

Yeahh....pity about Azeroth, but me and my Artifact Weapon just decided Alternate Draenor is looking like a good home these days.

(quickly activates garrison hearthstone, while Magni sputters something in anger)

    Wow. Just, wow.

Just happen to need ALL of our weapons for this, huh. This is literally an idea we came up with in guild chat as a STUPID JOKE.

I'm torn on the new character creation race icons. I find some of the new ones look better than the originals. like the female draenei, female dwarf, male orc and male dwarf... but, then again, I also think some of the originals looked better on others, like the female undead, female blood elf, male troll and male goblin.

EDIT: Also, the 'original male race' link is showing the 'original female race' image, btw.

    5. We go back to Azeroth to fight for the lifeblood of the planet, the plot of BFA (Druids and Shamans begin to seal the wound)
    6. Upon returning to Azeroth we have the greatest weapon smiths build us temporary weapons for the battle to come
    7. Upon arriving to Zandalar/Kul Tiras we get questing greens/blues and so on, the old weapon system.
and that doesn't sound lame to you? because it sounds lame to me.

These weapons were crafted at different times for different purposes throughout the history of Azeroth. It makes little sense that we would need to "sacrifice" them all unless they were specifically tied to the titans in some way. That is of course assuming that ANY needed to be sacrificed for his "defeat".

It would also be super lame, that we get some "temporary weapons" after we defeat Argus, or worse that we "sacrifice" them and then get to keep them for the remainder of the xpac until an alternative/replacement is provided.

Also when do we exchange weapons? After we personally defeat him? After a world first?

My point to all of this, is it doesn't really matter what device you use... they all are pretty poor options, and made for poor design from the beginning, the issues people had with them back in beta are now coming to fruition.

Anyone who raided tomb knew this was coming. A soak to end all soaks. The Soakmageddon. Soaknarok.

I'm not sure why people think using the artifact weapons to close the wound is stupid. We're using the strongest weapons on Azeroth to seal a wound that the (arguably) strongest entity in Warcraft lore made. It makes plenty of sense to me and is a fitting way to drain the weapons of their power leading us to lose them.

I would have preferred if our order halls took it from us after our meddling in renewed faction conflict.. Something along the lines ''We forbid you to use this powerful artifact on petty faction conflict, greater evil awaits us. Until then, the artifact will be in our safekeeping.''

Because right now, the artifacts will be gone, no further development. We will never hear of Ashbringer or Doomhammer ever again.

But, are they fully allied with the Horde?

It appears from what I've read that these "allies" aren't fully joining the Alliance or Horde like a "member" race such as Dwarf or Tauren. They entire race is remaining ostensibly neutral but allowing either the Horde or the Alliance to recruit their citizens through an embassy type system. This would seem to give them enough wiggle room to remain on at least passable terms with the opposing faction.

Yeah just move to WOD draenor honestly.

Serious question though: Do we get to keep the appearances we've unlocked as transmog choices for future weapons?

The style of the command board reminds me a bit of how Star Trek Online handles its quests through their Mission journal, where each arc is kind of bundled up by plotline and shown as a chain, so you can do all the Klingon War or all the Borg Incursion episodes one after another. I would very much like to see this borrowed for WoW, especially now that zones scale.

Guessing the artifact weapon thing will happen in 8.0? Also guessing this event will happen for EVERYONE on the same day.

Guessing 8.0, which will come with the new class revamps will automatically turn off everyone's artifact weapon's AP/talents/etc and give you the quest to go use them at the giant sword.

So, after the first time you kill Argus, you give up your artifact? There's practically 12 months between the time you kill Argus to when the expansion will even release. Just gonna punch things to death until then?

What about, like, the year we have ahead of us? People would be complaining about that, just like everything else.

They did the best they could.

Yes.. Mage tower has to be done and balance of power has to be done (Not the balance of power quest)..

it be nice if they gave us our weapons as BoA (just without the AP and what not) or even reset everything (as well as rework the artifacts.. kinda like artifact 2.0) and let us use it in BFA .. but i know lots of us HATED the way they work.. only thing i really like and will miss is the fact they removed EVERY Weapon in legion (you now what i mean)... guess its back to compairing weapons and bla bla bla

    Yes.

I am curious though, so what happens if we take the Dark Portal to Alternate Draenor and then fashion a ship and fly to alternate Azeroth?

I mainly want to find out if it is going to get nerfed into the ground or if it will remain viable going forward, along with the rogue pick pocket weekly.
fairly certain they'll get rid of them....I'm really hoping they do, I don't want to be doing legion order hall missions in bfa. I know it's a choice but free money is free money
