Developer Comment: E.T.C.'s strength has usually been centered around his powerful Heroics, but lately that hasn't helped him make the cut. We're trying reinforcing that identity with baseline Armor and a buff to Stage Dive before we look to broaden his power.

Developer Comment: Thrall has begun to struggle in solo lane matchups, often unable to sustain himself after trading blows. We feel his Mana costs are too high due his reliance on frequently casting abilities to charge Frostwolf Resilience, even if choosing to learn Mana Tide. There seems to be a demand for a strong auto attack talent at 20, with many Thralls choosing Nexus Blades, so we're adding Elemental Momentum to keep the tier exciting.

Developer Comment: Zarya's Basic Attack build is underperforming compared to her other options, so we're consolidating a few talents and giving her a new one in the form of Deep Burn. Historically, even slight buffs to Zarya have had a huge impact on her efficacy, so we're making light touches this time around. We'll be keeping a close eye on her performance and making more adjustments in the future if needed.

Developer Comment: Ana has a grouping of talents that are becoming more and more popular, so we're helping their competitors. We hope Sharpshooter's additional functionality lets the best snipers truly shine.

Developer Comment: Reactive Ballistospores is just too strong in its current form, completely dominating his tier 1 choices. We are making some adjustments to it in order to help level out the talent tier while also buffing some other under-performing Talents throughout his tree.

Developer Comment: It can be hard for Maiev to outmaneuver her opponents late in the game, so we're excited to see what Maiev players will do with an extra charge of Vault of the Wardens. This is also the first time we're adding new functionality through a level unlock rather than converting a baseline quest or popular talent, so we're interested in your feedback. Additionally, Containment Disc has fallen quite a bit behind Warden's Cage at all levels of play, so we're adding a Silence to further isolate targets and to interrupt big moments.

Developer Comment: It's been a hot-minute since we showed our resident fire mage some love, so we are making a few baseline changes to increase his survivability, as well as tweak a couple of underperforming talents.

Developer Comment: Much akin to Kael'thas, we feel like Kel'Thuzad has been left out in the cold for too long. We are giving him some slight baseline buffs while also tuning up some underperforming talents.

Developer Comment: The entire team has become extremely arachnophobic lately, and we believe its directly due to Nazeebo. We are trying to exterminate a few of the unholy critters while at the same time show his less bite-happy toads some love.

Developer Comment: While Multishot is actually being slightly outperformed by Hungering Arrow builds, we feel like its still too powerful for how safe of an option it is. We would also like to see a bit more auto-attack focused builds so we are going to start slowly increasing the strength of some of those Talents, starting with Creed of the Hunter.


Zagara

Base

    • Health regeneration increased from 3.12 to 3.23.

Developer Comment: The previous Health changes hurt Zagara more than we had intended and are backing off of them a bit. On top of that, Broodmother was being heavily outshone by her other level 20s so we decided to add a bit of extra spice to it.

Developer Comment: Being the King brings many duties, and being the Skeleton King is no different. Leoric players are often expected to fill a wave clearing role that is dependent on the current Kneel, Peasants! to succeed. We're bringing much of its benefit baseline, and trying something a little weird with Kneel, Peasants! Let us know if you consider it treasonous.

Developer Comment: Deckard's healing related talents have been underperforming lately, so we're hitting their numbers as well as cutting down some of the travel time on his potions. Scroll of Identify is also getting a blast of ~*spice*~, because why not.

Developer Comment: When we shuffle a Hero's talents, we often reduce their base power so we can make their talents more exciting. In Lt. Morales' case, we've found we don't have to pay as high a price as we expected.

Developer Comment: Many of Qhira's Revolving Swing talents have never really captured the attention of Qhira players, as they often leave Qhira spinning out. We're giving these buffs a whirl to see how they play out.

Developer Comment: It's been a hot minute since we touched the Naz man. We like that he's a late-game PvE powerhouse, but we feel there's room for him to have more PvP impact early on. We're adjusting both his Spider and Toad builds to have more of a unique identity and to make them a little more consistent. We're also dumping a pile of jungle spices on his 20s to make them more competitive with the ever-popular Vile Infection.


Valla

Developer Comment: Valla’s damage is nearing close to where we’d like it to be – but her safety while doing so is a bit high.

Developer Comment: In contrast to our usual ethos, Zagara is seeing her talents pay the price for an increase in power in her base ability. While the immediate effect is Zagara has less impactful Baneling talents, we feel that Baneling Barrage is a more interesting ability than from where we started, and we have more room for future changes.

This should give Morales a little more flexibility in shuttling her allies around earlier in the game.

We're also giving him a teensy bit more range on his Twin Blades charge. All of these changes combined should help Artanis feel a bit more impactful and safe in team fights.

Johanna has landed fairly well, so we’re also lightly helping some of her weaker talents.

Alongside this change, we also took the opportunity to redesign Perfect Storm to reward both aggression and the proper use of Storm Bolt.

Developer Comment: Jimmy ain’t fought his last battle yet. We’re returning Ace in the Hole to its original functionality, mostly in response to player sentiment, but also to open up a Basic Attack build that isn’t Gambit dependent. As always, thanks for your feedback! We have decided to remove Execute Orders from ARAMs, as we think even a less powerful version is still not healthy for the game mode.

Developer Comment: Valla is still settling into her place in the Nexus, but it’s been clear that her Multishot is hitting too hard. We’re heavily reducing Fire At Will’s ability to scale, while giving it an early push of damage.

    • Moral Compass's range bonus is no longer lost by dying.

    • Falling Sword no longer impacts enemy Heroes twice.

    • Mixing Fire's cooldown reduction has been updated to match its tooltip.
  • Malfurion
    • Serenity no longer increases Tranquility's duration.
    • Serenity's tooltip has been updated to match its increased healing.
  • Ragnaros
    • Meteor Bomb's bonus damage is no longer lost by dying.
