That seems to be the direction they are going with here. The comic was fine, just treading a lot of new ground that many won't be used to.

I have a bad feeling they're gonna be pushing this random chick and more useless characters over the tons of characters that should be in game.

This may explain her to be playable hero.

Unless she's going to be a map characte, akin to Raven Lord etcetc.

That's my concern.

There are characters that were mentioned at early Blizzcon/Alpha/beta/whatever that have not seen the light of day.

Deathwing Comes to mind.

I don't think any one asked for a small girl that could have been a skin for the million other small female characters.

Kinda like how the Ravenlord would make a fine Medivh legendary skin, I really don't want him to ever be a standalone character.

I feel like I'm in a minority here, but I'd be far more hyped for nexus original heroes than currently existing ones. Might be because I'm becoming cynical about the HotS teams ability to capture the feeling of heroes.

Agree. It's way better to get new, fresh heroes with interesting mechanics, than getting an edgelord deathwing just because, i mean, it's the deathwing, it MUST be there. Just like loremaster Cho. And Zen'kiki. And Anduin. And Brutalus. Oh, I know, there MUST be the HOGGER GUYS! Everyone loves hogger. Remember how hard he was in vanilla? You had to form 40 man raid of level 8-10s to do it! What? You could kill him with just 3 people at 15-18 level? No way! He is an icon of hardcore in whole warcraft universe

I know that i ridiculed everything, but it's way more interesting to get a nexus hero, than another warcraft hero. Please, enough warcraft heroes for a year at least.

I feel like the Lady of Thorns' demeanor felt pretty different from the way she acts as an announcer. Overall I think this comic was heaps better than the previous one, though. Also, Dehaka and Alarak confirmed to be on the Horde side, let's go.

Yeah, that's kinda the problem. People say they want the iconic characters first but there are so many of them and there are more of them being written, add in all the garbage like Leeroy and Hogger that people seem to want and HotS will be long gone before the team has the opportunity to work on Nexus originals. I admit I was skeptical about the Nexus original aswell but as long as the hero is fun, I honestly don't give a fuck. It's not like the average person really cared that much about Yrel.

That said, I think this might be a setup for the next hero reveal to be a character allied to the Raven Lord. Maybe Aiden, maybe Imperius (I feel like his extremist ideals line up better with the Raven Lord), who knows. Doesn't have ot be the next hero, just the hero that comes around the time of the next comic, I guess.

I liked the comic more than the preivous. Nice drawings!

The idea of an original Nexus hero don't really appeal to me. What got my attention with HOTS in the first place what that with was the Smash Bros of MOBA's. All your favorite heroes fighting against each other! All the crazy alternate skins! As such I would prefer if any nexus characters are used for maps and such rather than new heroes. That said I doubt "nexus originals" would take over all the normal releases so... eh. Will survive if it happens.

And I was curious about Grand Marshal Varian description - "Rallied by the Lady of Thorns call, Grand Mashal Varian Wrynn left Stormwind with his father's blessing and the Stromwind army in tow. The Alliance would not let Alterac fall before to the Raven Lord's machinations."
And she could be nice addition to hero roster, something new and refreshing. (Does nobody noticed coffin on her back with shiny eyes? )

This is to appeal to the Asian market. And it irks me. They wanna make some generic characters that look like they do in all Asian MMO's or RPG's. It's gonna be fucking League of Legends garabage soon enough... It just screams of pandering. Gothic loli character? Come on now Blizz. Just throw the rest of us under the Asian bus like you want to.

Yes, this one character, who isn't even in the game, compared to the 80 fucking characters that are, shows, without question, Blizz is determined to throw everyone under the bus for the Asian market. Thank god you were here to crack that code and solve the whole damn case singlehandedly. May as well change your name to Sherlock and move to Baker Street with logic like that mate.

EDIT: I'm also glad we've finally got a Warcraft map. We had so many heroes from it, but no maps. It really bothered me how we had a map for, well, every other setting.

Brightwing, Lunara and Murky were all developed for and added to HotS long before they got ported to WoW in Legion, they only had the Warcraft franchise attribute because their species are from the Warcraft universe.

DOTA characters who were previously Warcraft/DOTA characters. Funny how things come around like that.

She reminds me of scylla from smite. I REALLY hope that she is some kind of a monster in disguise
