    • Balance
      • Lunar and Solar Empowerment buffs will now show up on your Personal Resource Display bar.
      • The Fury of Elune talent will now properly deal damage to targets who are on an elevator.

  • Warlock (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
    • Demonology
      • The Nether Portal talent will now correctly work on elevators.
      • The Bilescourge Bombers talent will now properly display all of its visual effects when on an elevator.

Creatures and NPCs
  • Sirana Iceshriek’s Ice Shriek should no longer deal excessive damage.
  • Fixed a bug causing some Booty Bay Bruisers to deal excessive damage.
  • High Warlock Xi'lun no longer deals excessive damage.

Dungeons and Raids
  • Dire Maul
    • Reduced the damage of several creatures in Gordok Commons.
  • The Emerald Nightmare
    • Xavius
      • Players should now correctly return to their bodies when they die while dreaming.
  • Halls of Origination
    • Many of the abilities used by enemies in the Halls of Origination now deal reduced damage.
  • Magister’s Terrace
    • Sunblade Imp’s Firebolt now deals more reasonable damage.
  • Stratholme
    • Lord Aurius Rivendare now takes expected damage from players.

Items

Player versus Player
  • The Epic Battleground queue should now be available at level 20.
  • PvP trinket items that remove loss of control effects such as the Inherited Insignia of the Horde now share cooldown with PvP Talents such as Gladiator's Medallion.
  • PvP trinket items that remove loss of control effects such as the Inherited Insignia of the Alliance can no longer be used if the player has learned Adaptation or Relentless.

Professions

Quests
  • Ji Firepaw no longer follows the player after completing “The Horde Way”.
  • Players unable to speak to Sylvanas during the quest "Killer Queen" should once again be able to do so.
  • The infected goblins for "Curing With Force" are now a little more resilient to allow players to apply their cure.

World
  • Razor Hill Watchtower is no longer a sanctuary.

The following hotfixes have been applied to beta, and will be added to the live game later this week. We continue to work on other adjustments, such as the damage and healing output of other specs including Discipline, Retribution, and Balance. Those changes are going to take a little longer than the following hotfixes, but we wanted to get these in your hands for testing while playing on beta.

We appreciate all the feedback that has been generated from testing out the combination of Azerite Traits, Talents, Enchants, and Gearing options found on Gladiator's Sanctum.

In these hotfixes, we've targeted specs that are currently over-performing in certain PvP situations. Instead of reducing the overall damage that specializations such as Assassination Rogues and Marksmanship Hunters deal in PvP, we've chosen to reduce some of the talents and abilities that can contribute to high damage burst windows.

Changes to specializations in Battle for Azeroth have increased the power of specific PvP Talents. Restoration Druids in particular gained a large increase to Lifebloom in Battle for Azeroth, so we have in turn reduced the overall power of Focused Growth.

Racial Abilities
  • Light's Judgment deals 50% less damage when engaged in combat with enemy players. (was a 60% reduction in 7.3.5)
  • Light's Reckoning deals 50% less damage when engaged in combat with enemy players. (was a 60% reduction in 7.3.5)

Death Knight (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Unholy Strength increases Strength by 10% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 15%).
  • Frost
    • Pillar of Frost increases Strength by 10% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 15%).
  • Unholy
    • Wandering Plague damage reduced by 50%.
    • Necrotic Strike's Necrotic Wound healing absorption reduced by 33%.
    • Virulent Plague deals 25% less damage when engaged in combat with enemy players.
    • Virulent Explosion deals 25% less damage when engaged in combat with enemy players.

Druid (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Restoration

Hunter (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Beast Mastery
  • Marksmanship
    • Double Tap's effects are reduced by 50% when engaged in combat with enemy players.
    • Careful Aim increases Aimed Shot damage by 33% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 50%).
    • Aimed Shot deals an additional 25% damage to targets you have not damaged yet when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 50%).
    • Streamline increases the duration of Rapid Fire by 2 seconds when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 3 seconds).

Monk (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Windwalker
    • Fists of Fury now deals full damage when engaged in combat with enemy players (was a 20% reduction).

Priest (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Shadow
    • Edge of Insanity now properly reduces damage taken when at or above 90 Insanity (60 Insanity while talented into Legacy of the Void).

Rogue (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Prey on the Weak increases damage dealt to the target by 5% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 10%).
  • Death from Above increases Eviscerate/Envenom/Dispatch damage dealt by 10% (was 15%).
  • Assassination
    • Fixed a bug that caused Creeping Venom's duration to be refreshed to a longer duration than intended.
    • Creeping Venom's damage has been reduced by 50%.
    • Deadly Poison deals 20% less damage when engaged in combat with enemy players.
    • Vendetta increases damage dealt to the target by 20% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 30%).
    • Toxic Blade increases Poison damage dealt to the target by 20% when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 30%).
    • Garrote deals 20% less damage when engaged in combat with enemy players.
    • Subterfuge causes Garrote to deal an additional 50% damage when cast from stealth in PvP situations (was 100%).
  • Outlaw
    • Plunder Armor reduces the target's max health by 10% (was 15%).
    • Plunder Armor increases the Rogue's max health by 10% (was 15%).
    • Thick as Thieves increases the damage you and your Tricks target deal by 10% (was 15%).
  • Subtlety
    • Shuriken Combo increases Eviscerate damage by 3% per stack when engaged in combat with enemy players (was 5%).
    • Night's Vengeance (Azerite Trait) effectiveness reduced by 66% in PvP situations.

Shaman (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)
  • Restoration
    • Spirit Link now redirects 35% damage to the team (was 50%).
    • Spirit Link's mana cost has been increased by 12.5%.
    • Spirit Link reduces the heal generated by Spouting Spirits (Azerite Trait) by 80%.

    Those assassin changes are not nerfs, thats a straight up rape, holy shit how disconnected is blizzard.

    I agree they needed a bit of tuning but this is not what i imagined at all.

    Sin rogues damage did not come from their skills it comes from their mastery. They approached this in the wrong manor they should have gone after the mastery not the skills.

    On BFA beta this is what every rogues does now: Stack mastery/versatility to insane values to achieve the type of damage displayed on the beta because that is just how strong the mastery alone is.

    Hey, we heard Necrotic Strike still exists and costs 3 resources to put a 2k heal absorb on a healer that spams 5-8k heals at no cost.

    Better nerf DKs.

    Wow, these nerfs for Assassination are violent. I'm curious to see what the Retribution nerfs are going to be like, since that spec still is as OP, if not more, as Assassination was.

    Anyway, these nerfs can seem like a little too much, but it's mainly because Retribution, Balance and Discipline are still completely broken. Once these three specs get nerfed, things will be more balanced overall and Assassination shouldn't look so bad.

    Why would they even touch Death Knights? We are finally barely up there, now they will send us back to the stone age.

    And that touch on rogues is ridiculous, unless they do the same for retri, for example.

    They say at the start of the message that Retribution, Balance and Discipline are next. Retribution and Discipline are probably going to be hit the hardest though. These two specs are even more broken than rogues were.

    Look at all these butthurt rogues...

    Rogues were killing people in their opener, and you think a 10% damage reduction on some abilities will render you useless? We all knew rogues had it coming. If you can't play it without being broken, I suggest finding a different class.

    I knew death knight nerf was coming. I think 50% damage reduction on wandering plague is a bit harsh. And I know I will never pick necrotic strike for a pvp talent now. But the 25% dmg reduction on virulent plague and plague explosion is OK.

    How to kill the sense of pride and accomplisment in 2 steps:

    1. Remove any trait/power from the artifact so it acts like a heirloom
    2. Overbuff the class to give some sense of power and then nerf it to the ground
