The writing is as stupid as it gets. Neither of them had options, specially not Azshara because N'zoth could have just waited forever until someone else came along. On top of that, she's pretty much a slave anyways nothing changed, she's still a lackey of N'zoth.

At this point you just have to assume Blizzard is letting infants write the WoW lore.

I think the retarded element here is you. Azshara flew away from the Well before it exploded (as seen in the WoE dungeon), so it's not hard to figure out this was much further inland from the demon invasion and a very small caption of whatever city it will have been.

I still think the 3rd death is referring to hers, she clearly had a final breath and then at the instant she was dying was reborn, also when she made the deal with Sargeras she died in a way too. As we know the whispers are sometimes half truths. I also think Sylvanas knows and is setting up a trap for N'Zoth so she can take his power for her own.

Azshara is basically Griffith what an unlikable bitch. Good villains but whata bitch.

Azshara is known to be one of strongest "mortal" on Azeroth. And she was in his reach. Not something that happen often.
