I liked the cinematic. If i did not know that they will burn her in an expansion that is 100% about Sylvanas, building her up to some kind of "hero" by the end, i might have actual hopes for the expansion now.

But since i know better...no, still no hope.

It's a shame she'll just get killed by a group of random adventurers in a raid again.

They could do something so much more interesting with her. I wonder if, with Teldrassil destroyed, any of the elves would be desperate enough to turn to her for vengeance against the Horde.

To be clear, there are only 5 beings in the known universe that are as or more powerful than old gods.

And I didn't like N'zoths portrayal, screaming like a generic villain with a boring voice and cliché dialogue, and apparently allowing him to be talked down by Azshara. The fish scenes acrtually gave me a good laugh for scenes that were emant to be serious.

That empire looked cool though, hoping to see a proper version of that in game.
I think it is more that she Azshara can't be a queen without her people. These were the Highborn who were still loyal to her, while the ancestors of the High Elves had already escaped.

Also interesting: The terrified and pretty much doomed Highborn(including their children) we see are the result of a victory of the good ones.

Other than in the other cinematics, Aszhara saved them(out of self-interest). The civilians were allowed to flee from Theramoore, but the fate of most of the civillains of Silvermoon was nicely shown.

N'Zoth though could have been presented better.

She only cared for the Highborne.

Power is relative. Azshara's personal power is minor compared to N'zoth, or at least was before her transformation (as a naga, it's difficult to say). I meant, though, a play for power as in she wanted to lead, not be an underling. Though, I don't think she was lying when she said that she would rather die a queen, than live as a slave...

Cool short but it's a shame it only showed us things we already knew.

Which is already known at the end of the war of ancients when the well exploded it was Nzoth who saved the NE nobles by turning them Naga

N'zoth is just playing up an act to convince Azshara to go along with it. The screaming and anger were definitely faked to make her think she was getting a good deal that he didn't want to give. In reality, she'll be his puppet just like her people.

And on the record, Blizzard has not outright said Queen Azshara is the raid boss for 8.1 or whatnot. I suspect she might be the mid level raid (8.2), as the naga are a major threat to both continents, while 8.1 will be focused around the Blighted Lands, which are central to Kul Tiras.

Just a hunch, but we'll see.

Nzoth is the new god of azshara, she says that if he does not make her queen, nzoth will only be god of nothing

Wasn't it several voices she heard that whispered to her and ultimatly changed her?

I'd have to check the retcon in chronicles, but I'm pretty sure thats accurate in Knaaks novel.

Didn't take chronicles into account, might have been changed there.
