A leader of a company of brave warriors who posesses an incredibly powerfull artifact. He maneuvers himself into a position where he is offered godlike power in exchange for sacrificing everything that is dear to him (his company, along with the series' hero, Guts), which he does.

    Definitely N'Zoth.

Parts of it were cool and interesting. But Azshara's Saturday morning Scooby-Doo level voice acting gave me 3rd hand embarrassment in parts. I was really hoping for a bit more upmarket, and high brow after waiting 14 years.

N'Zoth very cool though. Thought they handled that very well.

I am not sure why they needed to have the story of the naga’s birth replayed. I expected this to have more bearing on BfA than what we’ve known for years. You know. Say why she’s coming to the isles as the set-up for 8.1.

I liked the style and the cunning parts of N'zoth.
If it's retcon, out of context or wrong I don't care at the moment. I liked it visually and it does fit well in the theme of the Expansion/other Warbringers.

Not only that, she demands the deal to be fair - and N'Zoth accepts.

He's the weakest of the Old Gods, yeah. However, I think he has been described as the most cunning out of all of them.

So Queen Azshara first makes a pact with Sargeras, and then makes a pact pact with N'Zoth. Lol, she only dances with the big players.

I agree with most the comments that nothing new to see, but I believe this kinda re-energizes hey story line with it leading towards the new expansion and further.

Is it just me or every time night elves are involved it becomes EPIC and DARK and just what is so great about this universe.

On the other side when it's about orcs or humans it's just a big snoozefest

We're all gonna die before Berserk ends.

That felt... quite underwhelming. Did they retcon Azshara into a queen that actually cares for her people? We were always believed that she was a selfish bitch, willing to do horrible deeds for more power. Is this their attempt to make Azshara feel more sympathetic? And I didn't like N'zoths portrayal, screaming like a generic villain with a boring voice and cliché dialogue, and apparently allowing him to be talked down by Azshara. The fish scenes acrtually gave me a good laugh for scenes that were emant to be serious.

That empire looked cool though, hoping to see a proper version of that in game.

If you want a good laugh, rewatch it, and close your eyes at 0:49.

Not much of a queen with no subjects. Don't have to care about them, but you do need them.

N'zoth - Isn't that what i just said?...erm nvm, have it your way...

That's pretty much what happened there. If that's not bad writing, then nothing is.
for many people the deal was practically the same azshara is being a servant of Nzoth, but I believe that Nzoth was not going to save the people of Azshara after all he has his own army of faceless! I think that with the Azshara deal she saved her people and even though she is a servant of Nzoth, she is also queen of the of Naga.

It was pretty good. These shorts aren't meant to be huge story elements, they're just flavor - and this one is brimming with flavor.

I think she semi cared about her highborn subjects (the rich and born of royal blood types), and smaller group of the overall population. That is probably the ones we saw in the video, I could be wrong though.

I saw it as caring about her people as an extension of herself. Without her empire, she is the queen of nothing. The fact that she said she'd use her people to fulfill her bargain with N'zoth expressed her actual opinion on the people as, you know... people.

And on the record, Blizzard has not outright said Queen Azshara is the raid boss for 8.1 or whatnot. I suspect she might be the mid level raid (8.2), as the naga are a major threat to both continents, while 8.1 will be focused around the Blighted Lands, which are central to Kul Tiras.

Just a hunch, but we'll see.

It was a play for power. She wanted to rule, she didn't want to serve. She considered herself on equal terms with N'zoth. Whether she actually is remains to be seen. At the very least, she retains her will, and is not consumed with insanity.
