World of Warcraft® Classic BlizzCon® Demo
Every BlizzCon, we look for opportunities to bring new aspects of the experience to our community around the world. This year, we’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders will join BlizzCon attendees as the first people to play the World of Warcraft Classic demo we’re creating for BlizzCon at home.

Shortly after the BlizzCon opening ceremony on November 2 (on or around 1pm PDT), players will be able to download the same in-development BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo that will be playable on the show floor. Players will have a chance to explore and enjoy a limited questing experience through a pair of classic early-level zones—one Horde and one Alliance—and experience firsthand our recreation of the original Azeroth.

Once the demo is live, you’ll be able to play until 10am PST on November 8, giving BlizzCon attendees a chance to check it out again once they get back home.

Declare Your Allegiance With BlizzCon In-Game Loot
In addition to access to the BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo, starting today BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket holders will receive commemorative in-game items that will help them proudly display their Horde or Alliance pride as the Battle for Azeroth rages on:

  • War Mantle of the Alliance & War Mantle of the Horde: Show all of Azeroth where your allegiance lies with a pair of faction-themed cosmetic cloaks—one for Horde characters, and one for Alliance.
  • Stormwind Champion’s War Banner & Orgrimmar Hero’s War Banner: Strike fear into your enemies and stand your ground when you plant your faction’s banner on the battlefield.

In addition to this year’s WoW items and access to the BlizzCon WoW Classic demo, the Virtual Ticket provides plenty of great BlizzCon content for your viewing pleasure along with additional in-game goodies from Overwatch®, Diablo® III, Hearthstone®, Heroes of the Storm®, and StarCraft® II.

Well, if you actually read the post you’d see it’s just the starting area for one alliance race and one Horde race.

I've seen every Blizzcon except last year (as I took a break from almost all of Blizzard games), and every ticket I've bought has been because I wanted to see the panels, talks and reveals. What I receive as Goodie Bag is just a _BONUS_.

I wonder, if MMO-C people bought tickets to E3, would they do it because of the panels or because they except some "OMFG GODLT GOODIES THAT I NEED BCZ THATS THE ONLY RESON I GO THERE!!!1!"?

I agree the WoW Virtual Ticket goodie is somewhat of a lackluster, but I also barely used the pets from earlier Blizzcons. Will I use Sombra skin in OW? No, I stopped play OW for a while. I'm still interested in seeing the cinematic they will show and the panels.

Then again, what else would someone expect of MMO-C comment section except a huge whine-train as usual?
^This. All of this. $50 is for the TICKET. These digital goodies are just fun bonuses they throw in to thank people who bought tickets. If you're legit angry because you don't like the free gifts they are giving you, then you've got issues and need to step away.

Feeling the same. They should've done something way more unique - like wider ones that goes to the end of the shoulders.

Too early to see if he's right or not, it hasn't even been released yet. After a year of Classic you'll have your answer.

I hope you're not suggesting 6 days wasn't enough time to get to 60 in Vanilla. The whole "it was actually HARD to reach max level!" meme is a ridiculous exaggeration perpetuated by people who either didn't know how to efficiently level back then, didn't play at all back then, or are simply looking back at it through 10 inches of rose-colored glass.

Honestly with so many whiny babies in this post alone over the Virtual ticket, any kind of change to the game (Classic or Retail) will send some peeps into a rage.

Hope for a graphics toggle too, guess we'll see once we see the demo and more of Blizzard's viewpoints on how they see Classic from their panel. People can say "this is how Classic should be" but ultimately Blizzard determines it all.

I just want to see more of their thoughts on how Classic will be.

Of course not. If it were, we'd get to note what bugs need fixing. With this, it's merely playing it without having any useful input and having to deal with any and all bugs.

Lol this is really unappealing, cloaks (which most people hide), banners (useless) and a DEMO? For a virtual ticket to a presentation which information will be readily available immediately as it is transmitted? Come on.

I actually like the cloaks, and banners. The lack of a pet really sucks though. Wallet protected! Better luck next time.

Depends why you buy the ticket I guess.

Generally I'm only interested in Wow stuff which tends to be promoted every other year. I'm expecting this year to be VERY quiet on wow news so was on the fence anyway. But a really good virtual thing might have tipped me over into shelling out the cash and watching the show over the weekend.

For years the rewards themselves have been pretty good - enough to make up for off-years. Not this one. I'm uninterested in the virtual stuff and don't expect to hear much wow related stuff that won't be posted on this site anyway. So... easy choice not to buy it.

50$ for a cloak wow thats pretty sad. As for Classic people may enjoy it but it will never, ever have the essence of what it used to be in 2004.
