World of Warcraft® Classic BlizzCon® Demo
Every BlizzCon, we look for opportunities to bring new aspects of the experience to our community around the world. This year, we’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders will join BlizzCon attendees as the first people to play the World of Warcraft Classic demo we’re creating for BlizzCon at home.

Shortly after the BlizzCon opening ceremony on November 2 (on or around 1pm PDT), players will be able to download the same in-development BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo that will be playable on the show floor. Players will have a chance to explore and enjoy a limited questing experience through a pair of classic early-level zones—one Horde and one Alliance—and experience firsthand our recreation of the original Azeroth.

Once the demo is live, you’ll be able to play until 10am PST on November 8, giving BlizzCon attendees a chance to check it out again once they get back home.

Declare Your Allegiance With BlizzCon In-Game Loot
In addition to access to the BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo, starting today BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket holders will receive commemorative in-game items that will help them proudly display their Horde or Alliance pride as the Battle for Azeroth rages on:

  • War Mantle of the Alliance & War Mantle of the Horde: Show all of Azeroth where your allegiance lies with a pair of faction-themed cosmetic cloaks—one for Horde characters, and one for Alliance.
  • Stormwind Champion’s War Banner & Orgrimmar Hero’s War Banner: Strike fear into your enemies and stand your ground when you plant your faction’s banner on the battlefield.

In addition to this year’s WoW items and access to the BlizzCon WoW Classic demo, the Virtual Ticket provides plenty of great BlizzCon content for your viewing pleasure along with additional in-game goodies from Overwatch®, Diablo® III, Hearthstone®, Heroes of the Storm®, and StarCraft® II.

Capes n banners are irrelevant and I wouldn't ever consider using them, but a classic "demo"? I'm intrigued, but I'd like to know specifics on what they mean by that in an MMO setting.

It feels like A-Blizz are dragging their heels with Classic. But it will be interesting to see what Classic looks like in demo play.

They've still got a long way to go before capes look even remotely good, they still look dated unfortunately.

It's only gonna be available for a short amount of time.

Incredibly underwhelming stuff. Looks like they forgot that there's also plenty people who don't care about the demo of a game that is 15 years old and that can be played either way.

Buy X to try a demo of our 14 year old game....I mean surely they’re taking the piss.

Do we know if the banner is a toy or not?

The cloak, banner and demo is extra stuff they didn't even have to give you.
Bs . Most of people buy them for in game rewards . Which means this year most will skip it. Nobody gives any fuck about panels which are hour later on YouTube anyway . Demo also doesnt make any sense unless they will let you keep progress of those toons for when game make it live. Now this would bring many people in to skip ahead of people who will try it on launch

It's not truly a demo for a 14 years old game. We know so far the game is not truly in 1.12, but they kinda recreated it on their updated platform. I can't wait to see how it will feel. How will that play compare to pirate server.

I bought the ticket for the panels, not for the goodies. I bought my ticket as soon as it went on sale, meaning I didn't know what goodies there would be for any other game than OW as that was what they revealed at first, because I couldn't care less how good or bad the goodies are. It's a nice bonus regardless. How much use I will get doesn't matter. As I have stated earlier I have barely used the pets or mounts from earlier Blizzcons.

But then again, you sound more of a troll stating (and capsing) that "NO ONE" buys Virtual Ticket except for WoW in-game goodies.

The banner is a toy, and apparently available in game already for those that has purchased the Virtual Ticket. At least I've mogged my cape already (I never hide any armor, cape included), and already used my Banner to try it out.

Am I the only one who buys the virtual ticket just so... y'know... I can watch it live? And that the goodies are just extra bonuses?

As i said in another thread, nope, not buying the virtual ticket this year.
Not interested in any of the virtual rewards and i can read the summary of the events in mmo champion as always. Not interested on being a tester of the Classic demo as well.

Glad Blizzard's choices made me spare money on the Blizzcon ticket this year.

haha... i guess you are You can always get to see the whole event later on, or during the event you can read the entire summary here in mmo-champion.
It is also on a Friday, and so many people can't watch it in their jobs / studying places / etc.

u know what guys, i see alot of "complains" on the forums and then i log on the game yesterday and everyone on Boralus was usign the cloack or using the banner to troll.
And on Warmode i got gank 2 time and i end wiht the horde banner on my corpes.

Complain all your want but ppl still buy it.

AAaaa, so this is why it cost an extra 10 $ this year. WoW Classic demo access. Neat! Can't wait to watch it free on some youtuber.
No mount or cool tmog item, they made the decision easy for me. TBH, I'm happy they don't want me to spend money on the VT again, we'll use it for something else.

    seems so, my man.

    Hmm.. OK.

Warbanners are irrelevant. No one will ever use them.

Thankfully the Alliance cloak looks like crap, so i'm not tempted to buy a ticket.

Who the hell designed it? It looks like some pre-school Fisher-Price rubber toy.

The Horde one looks nice, but i started with an Allance toon this expansion.
And i'm so fed up with the game, after all the Azurite and 7L chores, that i dont feel like leveling a Horde toon any time soon.

Hey i just saved 50$. Awesome.

Not sure but I wouldn't be surprised if you have the cloak in the transmog tab and the banner in the toy tab, try check there.
Or maybe they aren't available yet.

Blizzard is seriously over estimating the amount of people that want to play classic.

I never been interested in buying the Virtual Ticket, since I can always enjoy what Blizzard announce here on Mmo-Champion. As for the rewards, it doesn't hurt that they do something different. Mounts have been trivialized to the point that they seem to have lost the spark of which made a mount "cool", now it feels like is öne more to fill my closet kind of item.
