World of Warcraft® Classic BlizzCon® Demo
Every BlizzCon, we look for opportunities to bring new aspects of the experience to our community around the world. This year, we’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders will join BlizzCon attendees as the first people to play the World of Warcraft Classic demo we’re creating for BlizzCon at home.

Shortly after the BlizzCon opening ceremony on November 2 (on or around 1pm PDT), players will be able to download the same in-development BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo that will be playable on the show floor. Players will have a chance to explore and enjoy a limited questing experience through a pair of classic early-level zones—one Horde and one Alliance—and experience firsthand our recreation of the original Azeroth.

Once the demo is live, you’ll be able to play until 10am PST on November 8, giving BlizzCon attendees a chance to check it out again once they get back home.

Declare Your Allegiance With BlizzCon In-Game Loot
In addition to access to the BlizzCon WoW Classic Demo, starting today BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket holders will receive commemorative in-game items that will help them proudly display their Horde or Alliance pride as the Battle for Azeroth rages on:

  • War Mantle of the Alliance & War Mantle of the Horde: Show all of Azeroth where your allegiance lies with a pair of faction-themed cosmetic cloaks—one for Horde characters, and one for Alliance.
  • Stormwind Champion’s War Banner & Orgrimmar Hero’s War Banner: Strike fear into your enemies and stand your ground when you plant your faction’s banner on the battlefield.

In addition to this year’s WoW items and access to the BlizzCon WoW Classic demo, the Virtual Ticket provides plenty of great BlizzCon content for your viewing pleasure along with additional in-game goodies from Overwatch®, Diablo® III, Hearthstone®, Heroes of the Storm®, and StarCraft® II.

Is like the post top of this page, about how bad is the alliance design, and i bet the skill of that user desing things is so amazying that he can do a 1000 better job. Wonder why he isnt working for blizzard.

Ppl tent to be over critizing with the works of others.

Ah, so this is where the parrot pet and ship mount were stolen from and some PVP rewards quickly moved to the virtual ticket lol

Huh. Might be the first virtual ticket I will skip. No pet? No mount? Just an ugly cape that doesn't fit any of my transmogs and a toy that never gets used.

Store pet and mount should have been the ingame goodies instead, and you would have gotten my money.

Classic has been done for 14 years. The team they have on this is VERY small... 5-6 people I understand? This speaks to them usiing existing data and just converting stuff to the new hardware/server architecture.

Playing a level 1 character now is nothing like playing a level 1 in vanilla. Completely different quests, different abilities, and there was actually some challenge.

EDIT: Also the people complaining about 'no mount'. They've only ever had mounts twice for BlizzCon. Every other time it's been a pet. They're doing something different this year, get over yourselves.
They *increased* the price to watch a video stream of a marketing event. Then they *downgraded* the in-game reward that many many MANY people only buy the virtual ticket for. It's not even the pet that you're talking about - they couldn't even do that much in a year when they released a bad expansion and made their event MORE expensive. I mean, I'm not going there in person. I'm watching what basically amounts to an animated powerpoint that could and should just be put on YouTube or streamed on Twitch.

    They. Want. My. Money.

    So...

    They. Can. Do. Better.

It's not like they're physically digging these rewards out of a mine in the Congo.

Just putting on my tinfoil hat now, but is it possible the Pirate ship and the parrot pet were originally supposed to be ticket rewards, but with declining subs, they instead released them early for the half a year plan and didn't have suitable replacements for the Blizzcon ticket, which is why we arent getting pet or mount this year?

Stupid cloaks, i have had them turned off pretty much forever... Now shoulders on the other hand...

It's nice. Especially the Alliance banner.

But nothing can top last year's rewards

What. What a shitty reward and when we're having to pay $10 more at that. This has me thinking that in the future I'll wait to buy the ticket until the in-game items are revealed. If they're going to give us totally awful stuff, well, people usually post stuff from the panels later, so there's no incentive at all.

You'll be happy to know that you can easily cancel your Blizzcon Ticket prior to Blizzcon's start. Which is exactly what I did when I saw the (for my tastes) utterly worthless in-game loot for WoW - which is the only game I play. I also played Vanilla WoW, so some crappy demo is also not of interest - especially at a $10 premium over previous years' cost. Blizz is getting increasingly greedy, especially given what players receive in return.

Realistically, everything of note will be covered on Wowhead.com or MMo-Champion. So, yeah.

Ions cold dead eyes when he is describing the exciting things that are happening at Blizzcon belies his utter contempt at those players whom do not understand that BfA.

The definition of a demo sure has changed from the beginnings of gaming. I'm not playing 50 bucks for a "Demo". That's like going to a car dealership and buying them 50 bucks to test drive the car.

True but demos were also for brand new games. A demo of something that everyone already bought or possible played already is...odd. o.O

    lmfao this thread

'yeah i don't actually care about the rewards i just want to watch blizzcon"

because paying 50 bucks for a stream is better than paying 50 bucks for a demo and a cosmetic xd
