Are we FINALLY getting another Lost Vikings?

Also I have no idea who the hell.

Crazy idea: They could be an elite Minion squad. Could be the first HoTS-original, or could just be a hero that improves their team's minions.

But lookit, though. We got the archer on the left, the mage on the right, and the melee front and center. Could totally be a trio of Minions.

I got nothin'. They do definitely look like lane minions, but I won't even begin to guess at what it could mean.

They've teased some of the completely-unexpected-out-of-the-left-field legendary skins before, such as Azmodunk. Not sure that this is what's happening here, as we're set to get either a hero release or hero rework(s) with the next update.

Edit: Unless we're in for a Vikings rework. Then it'd make perfect sense to get the first new skin for them in 3½ years.

The Viper skins and the Mad Max skins at least had a teaser I think. They did have several skins tied to them though.

If you look at the shadow on the knight you see spikes.

Would not surprise me if it is a OW hero.

As long as I get Imperius revealed at Blizzcon cinematic trailer then I will be very pleased.

It could be teasing a rework of the minions AI.
It could be an Abathur-like hero that mostly stays behind the gates and buffs and/or controls minions
As mentioned, It could be a Lost Vikings skin...though that would be kind of odd.

Huh. Hadn't thought of that. Could be a new Hero just behind the camera.

Blizzard did talk about having a "raid boss" hero that just sat on the core and sent minions out into the map... maybe this is their way of saying that hero is ready... apparently it didn't work out for rag when they made him...

I love this. Like 8 posts in and Deathwing <3. Would make Pally very happy. This is so good cause like Ricky says to Karl means fuck@ll lol but my guess is our first Hots universe hero/s. With the comics recently and the build up of some of our lore but I dunno. Can't say TLV skin cause none of them are a mage right? Its Bart Simpson, the sword/board one and the third I cant think of but he doesn't fit a pipe smoking wizard does he?

Also, not going to be happy about our first core hero if it's not Yogg. Madness will consume me.

Blizz has been trying to give Heroes of the Storm it's own identity in the Nexus rather than just have it be a place for other Blizz IPs to smash bros it out. They've used comics and promotional videos, etc to flesh out the lore of the Nexus.

With that being said, it's my guess that these three are upcoming heroes of the Nexus itself. A trio of original characters with their background in Heores of the Storm rather than any other Blizzard game. We got characters from every other Blizz game (aside from Blackthorne and Rock & Roll Racers, that is.) It's about time we get someone to carry the banner of HotS itself into battle!

Orrr... They could just be skins or the cover boys of some kind of comic, map, or event and not actual upcoming characters, but heeeree's to hoping!

That spikes... It could be Gul'Dan rework?

I've always thought it would be cool to have that purple nexus guy you see when queuing for ranked as a hero. Being a part of the nexus his abilities are to take control of forts and transform the minions in that lane, and increase the range of the forts.

Well it could be new hero teaser. We got event with lore and skins last time so it's time for new hero. Spiky shadow on knight and scratch on his shield, suggest a monster. Zerg? Diablo or Warcraft one? Dunno.

Maybe the claw marks on the shield are the real hint and those really are just lane minions? IDK, excited to see the next tease. The shadow does look like spikes, so maybe it's something with both spikes and claws?

They had a whole animated video that was essentially skins for everyone. This is just gonna be a skin, not a new hero.

Regarding the minions theory i will just leave this here

We originally wanted to do Ragnaros as a "core replacement" hero who would sit in your base in all his raid boss glory and command fiery minions on the battlefield. We ultimately decided not to do this for fantasy reasons (it just didn't feel like Ragnaros if you couldn't smite insects with your own two fiery hands), but the gameplay is still promising and we want to revisit it at some point with a more appropriate hero.
