Once your firework ignites, it will randomly explode in one of several faction-themed patterns. “Ooh!” at the Lion of Stormwind. “Aww!” at the emblem of the Horde. “Oww!” at the blade of your mighty axe.

Everyone gets one!

    Good.

More people should be like you and not take this lying down.

It’s not a mount, it’s just a crafted item. Also requires Engineering to use it, so it’s not something they can put on the AH and make gold off of.

Who cares about stupid transmog toys... seriously people... you can buy them with gold from tokens anyway....

And do you REALLY think it takes a lot of people on their dev team to make a couple toys? Cmon now.
Problem is, a large part of players barely suffer the in-game shop being there (as shown in this thread), me included. This means that, if the game performs badly, and at the same time the shop thrives, people will get angry, and rightfully so imo. People aren't just angry about the shop, it's the whole frame that upsets players.

Look up the stupid Hogrus "trailer" they released some time ago. Or the fox mount one. I have never seen that many dislikes in a Blizz video apart from Immortal.

Yeah because over the past 10 years Blizz has gone super crazy. They started with a mount and are now selling better gear than you can buy in raids. Oh wait. In like 10 years they've had mounts, pets, cosmetic items and now toys. Geez at this rate they might unlock something really crazy in 6 years.

But now we have a game with a subscription AND gating things behind paywalls, basically just using both monetizing schemes, and everyone is just happy with it because reasons. Consumer responsibility is just not a thing anymore.
You act like these cash shop items just appeared out of the blue in the past month. They've been there for YEARS. Get. over. it.

Come on man, you're engaging in some slippery slope shit right there. 2 toys hit the cash shop after the cash shop being out since what, WotLK and now all of a sudden they're going to add transmog gear and improved versions of old armor sets?

You can not claim a 'large part of players' here. If the in game shop was such a thorn in their side it would have been much more of an uproar over the YEARS it has existed. Sure some of the players jump on a cause here and there over something hitting the shop but the majority of the playerbase is the silent one that does not post or comment or watch youtube videos. They just play the game, buy something or don't.

It is part of the confusion. Data mining showed a 10 minute cooldown but in game and the press release showed an hour cooldown. If people want a refund they should get one however.

I mean they've added a bunch of stuff since it first dropped and people said back then it would only ever be an occasional mount or pet, but okay.

Maybe the first one or two times you did them? In general, people didn't like how there were so few raids and the extreme content drought. Is what I was referring to.

Since BFA there have been the Dreadwake, two mounts, two pets, the last chance deal for the transmog helms and now these toys.

Agreed. It's a shame that people seem to have tunnel vision and forget the frequency things are added and microtransactions have been thrown at us.

Bad choice of words on my part about the large part of players. Still, a lot care, still going by the like/dislike ratio on the videos.
There have been uproars in the past. When they released the transmog helms/sapling, people sporting them were being kicked in LFR consistently. That was a good thing imo, because (part of) the playerbase said no to the ever-expanding shop and put limits on what they were willing to tolerate. I don't think Blizzard has put any other exclusive transmo after that. And it saddens me to see that the toy territory is so far considered fair game (unless another "revolt" happens), because that means people will buy shit on the shop, the shop thrives and gets bigger, more stuff are put into it, and so on and so forth.

WoW token doesn't count. It's still real money being spent, just through a second party.

With 25% going only to the final event. Cause it's just an indie company without sponsors or sales/subscription money.

This is a fallacy and holy shit am I tired of seeing it. With every thing added to the cash shop for $, thats an in-game reward for effort and content that is not added IN A BUY TO PLAY, PAY TO PLAY based business model game. It's pretty simple logic to follow.

For instance: Where's my reward for getting all +15's done in time this season? Oh nice, a Feat of Strength (doesn't even give Achievement Points if I were into that sort of pointless system) Could be any one or all three of these toys.

These toys could be sold for currency you get out of spamming M+. Instead they are rewards for not playing the game.

Look at Challenge Modes and their rewards for reference and tell me what you see is different here.

It's the mentality of "its just cosmetic, who cares?" that got us here in the first place, and it started with the first store mount.

Okay, the transmorpher is super fun ^^

Got turned into Kael'Thas last night mid raid.

Was great whenever I died he yelled with voice the
"My demise accomplishes nothing! The master will have you! You will drown in your own blood! The world shall burn! Aaaghh!"

Some of the model have massive skeletons when they die which was amusing on Jaina's ship.

    Worth the ~50k or whatever

Your reward for getting 15’s done? Gear. AP. Residuum that gets you more gear. A FoS, like you stated. Now you’re acting like you get nothing for completing m+ dungeons.
Before you state there’s no difference between a 10 and a 15 in terms of rewards, that’s on you for choosing to do that dungeon that’s 5 levels higher.
Why do you HAVE to have this? That’s the question people should ask themselves. Your logic is that everything belongs in game. Fine. Go with that. Make your statement. Do me a favor and link me every forum you go to where you complain about every single game having purchasable costumes, or weapons, or map packs. If there’s even a single game out there that you don’t care about employing this practice, then you are nothing but a hypocrite who is looking for something to complain about for a reason that you aren’t being honest about.
CMs offered xmog. Great. That’s fantastic. Mage Tower did the same thing. PvP is offering seasonal cosmetics as well. Blizzard’s business practice offers a multitude of things while also having some things reserved to make extra revenue off of. I don’t care as none of it affects my enjoyment or progression of the game. Things that change that is where I have issues, such as EAs practice of having things such as a single player experience included with the game, or gating progression behind a paywall. If Blizzard employs that model, I will probably quit the game and move on. As it stands, I still enjoy my gaming experience, none of which is required thru a cash shop purchase.

Now that all collection-type items are or have been part of the Blizzard Store (transmogs/mounts/pets/toys), I wonder what's next. XP/Gold/Rep/Loot boosters? Purchasable gear?

Blizzard doesn't care if they're losing subs. Just look at Runescape 3: Players kept leaving and Jagex "fixed" it by adding in more and more micro transactions to milk out the remaining players, instead of trying to get people to return - till this very day.

You know they already have xmogs in the shop right (or did, I think they were apart of the clear out sale), so my idea of new tier sets around xmogging are not too far out of the question.

And when you look at the first thing on the store day 1 to whats it's become and to what we have now on the store and the amount of variety, from then to now there's been a big change, from 1 mount to years later with mounts, toys, xmogs, character boosts, services, and now toys I think you're gonna be kicking yourself soon enough, just wait. But ignorance is bliss I guess.

Stop standing up for shitty games practices. I know you love Blizzard, hell I am a fan boy too but at least show some backbone to see shit when shit is present.

    Get educated

If anything it fixes the toy since the cd now falls in line with the hidden cd on the transmorph effect.
