I really wish they weren't giving these Mecha-mounts so freely. I absolutely and completely believe that they should go back to a more strict looting/acquiring methods - either through professions, raids drops and very, very tedious grinds a la TBC. Yes, we have those now but they are nowhere near as difficult and time consuming as Engineering Helictoper, Ashes (pure RNG, yes) or Netherwing.

Not sure how to tell you, but at 524.288 gold it is three times more expensive than the newest Engineering mount. And at almost 3.5 tokens worth, 50€, it's not on the cheap side. It's all a gold sink.

Oh look another gold sink mount, how long will this trend continue? Not everyone is gold capped blizzard, not every player was around at the end of legion taking advantage of the follower table with an army of alts. I think you have drained enough gold from the economy at this point. This nonsense should have stopped after the auction house mount.

BFA isn't anywhere near interesting enough to want to log on and farm herbs/ore/whatever for the gold for this.

Blizzard is smart. They put it up for gold instead of on the store so people still end up spending cash on it but without the rage on the forums about store mounts even though it equals the same thing.

The uhh... Waveblade tabard looks vaguely like Cthulhu, and it's a water faction.

ARE WE SURE THESE GUYS ARE ANTI-OLD GOD?

As an altoholic and a huge transmog fan, I'm a bigger fan of having them more accessible due to thematic class, mog and race choices. I don't want everything to be common, but I don't want things less accessible either.

Cute joke, the average monthly passive gold gain for someone that logs in to do all daily quests/complete emissaries is about 100k. You think it's acceptable that a faction mount costs 500k+ (5 months of passive gain)? Nice troll.

Obviously this number changes IF you do gathering professions. We are not making Legion levels of passive gold anymore. It's time this shit stopped.

It isn't merely about getting the people who are gold capped to spend gold, it's also a shrewd and pretty bald-faced attempt to nudge people who can't afford it into hopefully buying a token or two in order to sell for the gold to get one. This is the Blizzard we have nowadays.

Whats up with these crazy prices for mounts in BfA?

Ok, I have never been much of a AH player earning lots and lots of gold, but I have made my share and have just focused on always having gold/mats etc for all of my characters.

And I would always be able to make decent amount of gold from enchanting, but the ah prices for enchanting stuff is stupid low atm.

Are these prices so high because they sell tokens? So instead of putting the mounts on the store, the slap it into the game for a high price and people buy/sell tokens to get enough gold?

    It sucks.

Desperation. They know a good number of people still in BFA are big whales and if they don't have the gold the credit cards will be flying to get coins to transfer into gold to buy the mounts. Then those with gold get thier stacks reduced more and more increasing the odds of eventually buying coins. Suckers are born everyday.

Anyone else noticed that the price for that mount is 524,288, or 512 multiplied by 1024, which is 2^9 multiplied by 2^10? Maybe I'm just a nerd for these things, but it seems as if they are using Base 2, or binary numbers, and the mount being a mechanical mount and all, I just found it curious.

sorry, but i think you and a lot of another ppl here do not understand that blizzard earns 7-9 euros (or ? dollars, i am from europe) for every token ever passes the AH. automatically, without doing anything.

so i think if you realize that, you will stop asking yourself why these mounts are there and that this have absolutelly nothing to do with farming herbs or gold sink. and that this „trend“ WILL continue. for a long time.

its just one aspect of activission blizzards money making machine. thats all.

I'm not clever enough to notice these things, but if it's anything other than a coincidence I think it's fantastic.
