I'm really glad there's a new hero and she looks fun and well animated. Anyone still involved in the HotS community knows we need another Melee Assassin or two. This is only a good thing.

What's really upsetting is people angry because she's a black woman, just racism under disguise of "Blizzard panders to SJWs" Just... just stop, just shut the fuck up and admit that you're a genuine hater.

I must say that I am not that happy with this new champion. I expected more from Blizz but I think the cast is running thin...

She has a great set of abilities and talents. Not the easiest hero to use though

Thanks for giving me a character I didn't want, and not one of the 50+ ones I did want.

Pretty sure the reason people are saying this was an SJW character is because it is the only way they can figure out why Blizzard would do this in their minds. I'm with them. I can't for the life of me figure out why they would add this character to the game, besides to make it more diverse. People play this game to roleplay as some of their favorite lore characters from some of their favorite games. This is just another character I won't touch with a 10 foot pole, just like Ophelia.

I think nexus heroes are dumb since I always considered Hots to be a passion project / love letter to fans.. allowing us to play the greatest heroes / villains from classic titles.

I don't really get the SJW / diversity part just because it's a black nexus hero.. They wanted to create some new characters, I always thought it was dumb but cest la vie

This character reeks of needing her own game.

Like, of her "realm" and all. I dig a lot of the character. Yet, it feels distorted and out of place for HotS.

Bunch of crybabies! I don't get the complaining she looks super awesome. Who cares she is not from a known game. Being a new character gives the dev team more freedom to make something cool.

We need more new and unique heroes like Qhira!!

Maybe you should play Dota and LoL and leave Hots for those that want a moba with already established characters from all the amazing blizz universes.

We don't need this wakanda crap here.

The last few heroes they've released have been vulnerable to poke. I feel like they're trying to push people to play more ranged stuff. I honestly don't see Lunara, Chromie or Hanzo that much at my level of play.

I'm not sure where you are, but Scatter Hanzo is good in a lot of comps forward through Master.

I have been playing her in the PTR, she is awesome you can do some crazy plays with her.
I wish she had her own game =) !

One simple solution. Do not add black characters beyond ones that were in Blizzard games already. Add Tosh or someone.

Also, to make it clear, I have nothing against Qhira being black. I am against her being OC.

I think the heroe is nice, its true that she has advantage on 1v1 and her bleeding is annoyig, but i actually think she is fun. And also I watched some great plays with the hero.

Its a great hero for tournaments (for the cool plays)

Maybe they can add Qhira to Overwatch too

Well, to be fair, it's a bit different when you scrap a product that is, at all times up until being scrapped, considered a mere working protoype and not a confirmed project compared to cutting a character who is in late stages of development and either directly in or even right out of the most expensive phases of development. Compared 1:1 a scrapped project is obviously more wasteful than a scrapped hero at any stage of its development, but a company is going to look at relative costs as opposed to general costs. It looks super bad if HotS takes a hit from scrapping an already developed hero, even if it's not as much as a scrapped game concept.

At any rate, she's a stupid hero. I'm not defending her at all, because she's overpowered and no one (or almost no one) wants a boring OC in a game where the main god damned focus is supposed to be a celebration and showcasing of existing characters. Imagine if Super Smash Bros released some shitty "Smash Universe" OC out of nowhere, there'd be riots in the god damned streets and rightfully so.

Smash has OCs people like and have wanted to see become playable, like Master Hand. Who is just a FLOATING FUCKING HAND and yet people want him. Why? Because he's been built up and shown to the players, to the point he's become a classic and treasured part of the series. Qhira is some shitty character being forced on us from nowhere, making her even worse than Orphea.

But she is super fun to play, no other hero in HotS comes close to her kit.
