Dungeons and Raids
  • Azshara’s Eternal Palace
    • The Queen’s Court
      • Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the knockback effect of Frenetic Charge to hit the wrong target.

Items
  • Increased the drop rate for Blueprint: Anti-Gravity Pack from Rustfeather and it can now also drop from Malfunctioning Beastbot.
    • Heart of Azeroth

Quests

WoW 15th Anniversary Event Preview
The patch 8.2.5 PTR sheds some light on what to expect from World of Warcraft's 15th Anniversary Event that was announced earlier this year.


Log In Reward
Logging in during the 15th anniversary event rewards the Lil' Nefarian battle pet.


Store Mounts
You will be able to purchase the Alabaster Thunderwing and Alabaster Stormtalon mounts from the in game store or receive them as a reward for ordering the 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition box set.



Limited Time Raid Event
The main draw to the event is the addition of three limited time raid wings that let players tackle bosses from past expansions. The reward for completing all three wings is the Obsidian Worldbreaker mount.

Classic Alterac Valley PvP Event
During the 15th anniversary you will be able to queue for a classic version of Alterac Valley that is identical to how it was when it initially released during Vanilla. Completing a series of activities in this version will reward you with the Stormpike Battle Ram (A) or Frostwolf Snarler (H).



Infinity Studio ChinaJoy Arthas Menethil Statue
Infinity Studio has partnered with Blizzard to create a life-sized Arthas Menethil statue from the upcoming Warcraft III: Reforged for China's ChinaJoy Convention. You can still pre-purchase Warcraft III: Reforged and be sure to check out Infinity Studio's Facebook page for more pictures of the statue!

    They probably want to use bosses that aren't available in Timewalking, so no Black Temple or Ulduar bosses.

    Ragnaros is an oddball, but I'd imagine he technically fits the criteria because Firelands Timewalking won't actually appear until after the anniversary.

    I mean, I guess, but Heigan is still a weird one. Every other boss is an end of raid boss, at least Kel'thuzad would have made more sense if they didn't want to a TW raid.

    Don't want to be screwed over just because I'm not a raider.

    Or make it available through other means eg arena BG etc?

    I really hated that I had to run a 3 hour Molten Core lfr to get a mount everyone had. Now they are actually wasting resources for such an event again.

    Heigan was and is a very iconic fight in Naxxramas. The dance went viral in a way that no other Naxxramas fight did. So it makes perfect sense to have it in the anniversary raid.

    It's a good idea. Just because you feel like you should be showered with rewards for the pure fact that you exist, doesnt mean Blizzard should cater to your needs.

    Do something - get a reward. How is that so bad?

    People joked around about riding DW one day back in cata. Obviously the spine of DW encounter in DS wasn't what they had in mind

    KT in wotlk naxx is besides tuning identical to the vanilla version while Heigan was pretty watered down mechanically in comparison. I wonder which version it'll be for this boss rush event. Doing the safety-dance around all his mechanics is going to be fun nonetheless, it's an old meme and to a lot it's iconic simply by way of making them familiar with wow, naxx and raiding.

    It'll be interesting to see the difficulty of the new raid wings, I'm hoping for a bit of a challenge but maybe it would have been better to make it four different difficulties (LFR to Mythic) and give different skins, to keep everyone happy

    i hope they release a guide to the vanilla AV experience.

    i don't want to have to keep answering questions about the druids summoning or "what do i do with this?" or 'what's a wing commander'

    still it'll be nice to see Ivus again

    That'd be pretty cool if they made it a permanent stable, another option is it being similar to time-walking, only boss-walking instead since it's a boss-rush. Rotate the bosses the same way the other events and world-bosses are and make room for multiple difficulties as you say with according rewards to follow. It'll end up with a ToC feel to it, I guess, but I don't see that as a bad thing at all.

    If you spread the message while encouraging others to do the same, you'll only have to do it so many times before you'll find others freely helping others the same/be familiar with what's going on and that they've gotten themselves into.

    The prospect of being able to play original AV is incredibly interesting. I may actually resub for that if I'm still not playing by then. The boss rush sounds cool, too.
