The War Campaign Finale Cinematics

So I'm not really sure what's happened. It doesn't seem to have really resolved the plot. Is the War Campaign ending just the end of the War Campaign and the story'll continue with the factions working together, or are we onto the next expansion?

TL;DR the Horde have been trash the whole time, everything you thought you were playing for about Honor and being the misfit outcasts banding together, that was all bullshit. Source? Saurfang and Sylvanas BOTH. So enjoy being the new unifaction which is essentially the Horde are now allied races within the Alliance.

I love the 'taking war out of warcraft' posts.

Alliance and new Horde teaming up against the bigger evil was always part of warcraft.

Having two factions that can't team up for m+ and raids in a pve centered game is stupid by now and I would be so glad to see having it removed. Half my friends play Alliance, other half plays Horde. I'm playing two chars right now because of that shit.

Nah, just force Horde players a race change to Human. Likely going to be World of Anduin from here on out for its story. Blizzard seem to be unable to character develop unless its him and his self righteous indignation.

Let's not forget alliance and horde unite to beat the villain. That video and story would have been interesting like 7 years ago(okay, plot holes would still be plot holes)...but right now it feels like utter cheese. They tried hard to to create a heroic death for Saurfang...but unlike with Arthas they try way too hard and it makes too little sense. Why should Sylvanas suddenly freak out that close to victory? Why should she stop with just taking out Saurfang and not kill Thrall and Anduin along the way(it's not like her reputation still matters and she needs to play by the rules)? And everyone knows right away what Sylvanas words mean and is willing to back down from war? I mean, really? To call that all very 1 dimensional would still give it too much credit. That's stuff you can feed to elementary school kids...but the Warcraft community already grew up with the franchise for 15-20 years....so they are a bit old for that kind of very simple story.

Resurrection isn't really in the lore as a spell you can throw around.

And no, he didn't cast mass ress in the first BFA cinematic.

Let's face it: Everyone hoped there was more to that storyline than this. Unfortunately it seems like that was really all. No idea for what Blizzard hired professional writers...wasted money.

Most likely 8.3 will be centered around the theme of the next expansion. Just because the war campaign is over doesn't mean there's nothing new coming before 9.0.

They had to do 1v1 because otherwise its just SoO all over again

And about the cinematics... okay... now what?

It's actually an interesting bit, I thought. Sylvanas lost twice in that fight, though she could have actually won and had everything. Her temper got the better of her. "The Horde is nothing!" got her in trouble, but she could have gotten through that. The fact that she used magic to blast Saurfang violated the ceremony of Mok'gora. None but the Forsaken would have possibly followed her after that. Even the most bloodthirsty of the orcs would have turned away from her with the way she violated that sacrament.
