Junkrat Skins Orphea Skins
Jamison "The Wiseguy" Fawkes is responsible for many of the most explosive heists in New Tirisfal’s history. Unfortunately, he has a habit of blowing up his loot along with his targets. When Orphea recruited Junkrat and Sgt. Hammer to help rob the casino, she neglected to mention her ulterior motive: to retrieve a dark and powerful family heirloom stolen by Whitemane herself.

Sgt. Hammer Skins Showstopper Whitemane
Bama "The Hammer" Kowalski and her crew of heavily armed mobsters take a direct, guns-blazing approach to heists, often bulldozing straight through the wall of the bank vault they intend to rob. Whitemane watches over the sludge and grime of New Tirisfal from the highest spire of the Scarlet Monastery Casino, where thousands of residents invest their loyalty, and their hard-earned coin, on a daily basis.

New Quests

Orphea's plan is simple: she grabs the safe while Junkrat brings the firepower and Bama provides the getaway. Whitemane would never expect anyone to be bold (or stupid) enough to steal from the Scarlet Mafia, and that's the best thing that Orphea's crew has going for them. As you complete quests, you’ll unlock rewards; if you can pull off the heist, you’ll unlock the Royal Getaway Sidecar mount.

Quick Navigation:

General
  • MacOS Update
    • With this patch, Heroes of the Storm will use Metal for rendering on macOS. This change ensures that Heroes is compatible with macOS Catalina and that it continues to be compatible with macOS for a long time to come. As a result, the minimum required version of macOS to run Heroes of the Storm is being increased to macOS 10.12 Sierra.
    • There are a few known issues in this release:
      • Stuttering and stalling may be experienced early on in a game, particularly when the game first loads in and when the enemy team is first encountered. These stalls will get better over the course of a game and over the course of several games as macOS optimizes Heroes of the Storm behind the scenes.
      • Some outlines render black.
      • Some outlines and team color-based textures may render using colors from the color blind palette when color blind mode is disabled.

Developer Comment: We will continue to work hard to resolve these and any other issues as we commit to providing a quality experience for our macOS players.

  • Free Loot Chest with 30 Day Boost Promotion
    • Until October 22nd, receive a free Legendary Scarlet Heist Chest when you purchase a 30 day boost!

  • [NEW] Changed matchmaking configurations to lower wait times for most players, while tightening rules for Masters+.

Developer Comment: We have seen your feedback on matchmaking and want to make it better! We have updated the system to match faster for most players, while tightening up the rules for our higher level players. We are always looking for more feedback so please keep it coming!

  • Abilities learned while the Hero is disabled due to crowd control effects will not be usable while the Hero is disabled by channeling or other Crowd Control effects.

  • [Rework] Junkrat: Concussion Mines will now always knock back all enemy types and Junkrat when they explode.
  • Stitches: Shambling Horror's movement speed has been updated to match the new base Hero move speed.

    • The Thirst no longer heals Qhira after Carnage has hit non-Heroic targets.
    • Qhira no longer pops at the end of her dance animation.

  • Kel'Thuzad:
    Talents
    • Level 10
      • Shadow Fissure [R2]
        • Hitting an enemy Hero no longer instantly resets the cooldown of Shadow Fissure, but instead sets it to 1.5 seconds.

Developer Comment: Talk about fireworks?! With our last balance patch, we introduced some changes to Shadow Fissure that ended up causing a bit more mayhem than we had expected. While we like rewarding players for hitting their abilities, a full instant reset of the ability ended up feeling pretty bad to play against in a lot of circumstances. This was compounded with the changes we also made to Might of the Scourge, so instead of a full reset, we decided to dial it back a notch and set the cooldown to 1.5 seconds instead.

I don't really follow the "meta", whatever that might be these days, but did Whitemane really need a rework so soon after she was added to the game?

She had one build, and her dependency on Clemency severely limited her design space. They've been talking about doing some stuff with her for a while now. I just didn't expect it before D.Va and/or Tassadar tbh.

Yeah, that's why I was confused. It seems like there are older heroes who've needed it more for some time now.

Also, I guess I was one of the few people who didn't use the Clemency build. I preferred the talent that increased the heal of Desperate Plea for each stack of Desperation. I really wish they had made that baseline with the rework....

Yep, she's still the 2nd worst Support in the game. The changes did nothing.

Numbers can be changed. How is her playstyle? (I've played neither her nor Junkrat this week)
  1. ThatsOurEric's Avatar
Terrible. Unlike before where she had the potential to stay in fights and get mana back, she loses mana
faster than any other character I've seen. Completely useless.

Ugh, I do not understand their obsession with making healers less mana efficient. Having to hearth back to base after any sort of fight is most definitely not fun and engaging gameplay....

I can only imagine how much worse it is for Whitemane (haven't played her yet since the changes) since mana problems are pretty much built into her kit. It's why I liked the one level 1 talent she had, since it lessened the blow somewhat: Desperate Plea cost more mana, but was also stronger.

More importantly, I see they still haven't fixed their incompetent, poorly made, broken as fuck matchmaking
    system for Ranked.

This one I can attest to. I'm currently Diamond 4, and I have been in several Master games in the past week, and even one with five Grandmasters including GM#1 in Europe.
