It's either because they have other things to reveal for the game at Blizzcon, or because they've sacrificed the panels for other things. I dearly hope it's the first.

I sadly think that the 2nd makes more sense.

Like the dev team were told to prepare things for blizzcon and then got told, that there would not be space for them afterall, so they release now instead.

It's a 40 second trailer for one character. With all their other major announcements, this would just be more of a distraction, I think.

Last year Blizzcon they announced a completely made up character. I think Deathwing deserves that sort of treatment.

My take on it- Since they know Heroes community is small and there will be a lot of other announced projects taking center stage (WoW expansion reveal, possible Diablo 4) and they want to build some hype before those big names drop.

I have a feeling HOTS won't have a presence on this year's Blizzcon at all, so that's why.

The usual 'community involvement/how we design this stuff' padding panels have probably been cut because of the risk of being Hong Konged.

Yeah, but a month later they killed HotS esports and put the game in maintenance mode, more or less. It's not dead, exactly, but it's no longer a part of Blizzard's marketing strategy.

i don't really understand bruisers. yrel doesn't deal much damage, are they just a different form of tank?
