Leaks build hype, they've been heading the leaks since forever.

Yes this multinational corporation orchestrates these leaks on purpose, alternating countries and this plan has never come out, instead of doing it at their own convention which is nothing but an actual hype event.

edit: what i quoted in the previous message said that they leak shit on purpose to stop boycotts, which was what i was originally debating and saying that the leaks were first than the reasons people want to boycott in the first place.

Many companies do it, it builds hype before release, makes it even stronger for announcement, but nah, keep believing that a multinational corporation "forgets" to hide something on their own store.

I doubt it, absolute majority of people who will be at the event or even will watch it have no idea about the "leaks". It's just a couple of forum dwellers. The few years where they managed to have a release without leaks should only confirm that they have no interest in releasing leaks.

So if all it was for hype, why would they leak real leaks instead of fake ones? This makes no fucking sense. Also believing there are 0 leakers inside a huge corporation is so nonsensical. That is what you would actually have to believe if you believed they had this huge scheme all the time to leak shit on purpose but not getting caught doing it.

So glad I didn't pre-order the virtual content, since I want that statue. Now to keep heavy track on all the retailers to snag a pre-order of the CE.

I'm not saying that no leak was ever unintentional, there's just far too many coming from direct blizzard sources over the years for it to all be unintentional. Blizzard accounts have "leaked" many OW heroes and many many other things, like the "leak" of the print, it's either intentional or Blizzard has some seriously bad policies on hiding things.

I'm so afraid for Diablo 4's announcement. We're 100% getting Diablo 4, but how badly they'll drop the ball and give us something completely shit is the real question..

Kinda disappointing, only 2 WoW items. But happy for the Diablo folks that are getting so much stuff, especially after last year.

No, this is very common. All over the entertainment industry. Off the top of my head this has happened few times this year to nintendo, there was the borderlands shit, sony's new hardware etc. All of these companies have their own venues to hype up shit in the way they want to.
