Patch 8.3 PTR - Eye Changes for Death Knights and Elves

This is amazing and I welcome this.
I like glowing eyes, but DKs looked like headlights

Thank god the flashlights on DKs are gone... i have always hated them. They always looked so strange.

EDIT: Also, NE male already looks 1000 times better, the flashlights on their eyes were annoying as fuck to look at compared to the original models. Hopefully it will be a more subtle glowmap that doesn't obfuscate the eyes and face entirely.

People on these comments need read more. They clearly stated that this is the initial pass phase of redesigning the eye glows. It was removed and they don't want a million bug reports stating that their beloved eye glows disappeared. Let's take a deep breath, step back, and wait to see what they actually release as an update for eye glows instead of jumping to conclusions that this is what they've become.

When I first came to the page I saw blue eyes and thought they actually added high elves. I actually like the bright eyes on my DK but we'll see.

I agree but keep in mind its not finished yet and might go brighter in a different and less obnoxious looking way.

I really love this, but they should probably keep both options in, because why not.

Looks really bad, I prefer the old glow.

Hope there will be an option to keep the old. Those glow material only eyes are too dim for my taste.

The problem is that the blue post was not clear if they were removing the old glow or keeping it alongside the new eyes. So before you go patronising everybody that queried this, I think that you should take a step back and try to understand that.

Think I prefer them as they currently are. Yeah, if you zoom in ridiculously close as in the screenshots above it looks a bit odd but your characters eyes are very rarely seen that close, 99.9% of the time player characters are quite small on the screen so you have to exaggerate these things or they just won't be visible at the normal scale at which you see the characters. The changed version is so totally toned down that the effect may as well not exist.

I suspect this is the kind of issue where the vast majority of people are fine with it but a vocal minority complain about it long enough until it gets changed. It is something I can literally never recall hearing anyone mention in all the years I have been playing this game. It's certainly not the end of the world, but if they ever do add an option back in to adjust this for your own character I will certainly be turning my DKs headlamps back up to full!

Change looks like garbage. They are no longer glowing at all....

Looks like they all have cataracts, great work as always, Blizz.

I guess this change is a previous step to make eye color a personalization option!
