Though we’ve been working hard to get Reforged in your hands before the end of the year, as we started approaching the finish line, we felt we’d need a little extra development time for finishing touches. As always, our goal is to honor the high standards you hold us to.

Step Back in Time
Warcraft III: Reforged takes you back to a tumultuous time in Azeroth’s history, when a dark shadow eclipsed a peaceful land, the world trembled before the coming of the Burning Legion, and heroes risked it all to prevent the death of their world.

Soon you’ll be able to relive the definitive real-time strategy classic, with revitalized visuals, an epic single-player campaign spanning over 60 missions, rebalanced online play, a suite of contemporary social and matchmaking features, a vast universe of player-created games, and more.

Welcome Back to War
You can pre-purchase the standard edition of Warcraft III: Reforged digitally now from the Blizzard Shop for $29.99—or for $39.99, you can pick up the Spoils of War Edition, which includes a host of extras as well as in-game bonuses for other Blizzard games that will unlock immediately upon pre-purchase. In addition, players who pre-purchase either version will get access to the ongoing beta test for Warcraft III: Reforged.

Thank god they finally announced the release date and pushed it back.

Well, of course they could not make it. Not after a year of silence and then trying to rush right at Blizzcon.
Plus the whole debacle of what actually remastered campaign will mean and the subsequent disappointment.

Wow, kind of came out of nowhere.

Meh. So much for the promised 2019 release. They could atleast have given us the campaign. Was kinda banking on spending my time in this game until 8.3 came out

Well, how about the legal stuff on this? They had a disclaimer saying "Releases on or before 2019-12-31" (i believe there was also a legal reason behind this).

Can i refund my Prepurchase now?

A whole month late, what could have been so time consuming for the delay is what I'm wondering, also kinda fucked up my plans to dick around with nostalgia while I waited out 8.3.

Really? Couldn't find something on the Bnet-Launcher, but i admit i didn't looked that close.

Never thought i would want to Refund a Blizzard-Game but i played the Beta and Meh....i was hoping for a modern, fluid strategy game in Blizzard-Quality and - at least for me - it's a clunky, unorganized clusterfuck like the original was.

And just 8 of 60 campaign maps are being redone.

What have the devs been doing?

Is this when a large portion of the MMOC posters will forget that they said "I wish they'd just release things when they are ready" in the past and complain that the game is delayed?

I mean, they kind of DID say that the gameplay would be exactly like the original.

Still excited to play a cleaned up graphics version. I've wasted 40 bucks on a lot dumber shit. One of my favorite games, so I'll ride the nostalgia train.

I'll refund it, but not because of the delay, but because they are cutting all they promised; like new cinematics, or changing the game to be in touch with the actual lore. I can get a mod for W3 with better models for free anytime without paying 40 bucks.
