Death Knights for All Races Preview

In life you were a champion of your people. In death, you can rise once more to serve Azeroth as a Death Knight.

With the launch of Visions of N’Zoth, players who have pre-purchased World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be able to create pandaren and Allied Race Death Knights—including the newly available Vulpera and Mechagnomes once they’re unlocked.

TIP: Players who want to create Allied Race Death Knights will need to fulfill the requirements to unlock them before making a character. Requirements to unlock Allied Races can be found by hovering over the desired race icon on the character creation screen. Pandaren Death Knights have no restrictions and can be created immediately.

Pandaren and Allied Race Death Knights have a new starting experience and arise as champions of Lich King Bolvar at Icecrown amongst their spectral peers. After completing an introductory questline with Bolvar, they will begin their journey as heroes of Azeroth and join forces with either the Horde or the Alliance. Death Knights for previously available races will still begin their new lives in Acherus the Ebon Hold as summoned servants of Lich King Arthas.

Ascend as a Death Knight with full honors from The Four Horsemen of the Ebon Blade and Bolvar at Icecrown Citadel.

All new Death Knight characters will receive the iconic Acherus Deathcharger class mount after completing the introductory questline, with Allied Race Death Knights also receiving their racial mount (pandaren racial mounts will still need to be purchased from a vendor). Heritage Armor for Allied Races characters can be obtained by leveling to 110.

Windows to the Soul
All Death Knights new and old will receive an updated appearance. Inspired by the notorious Lich King Arthas, their eyes now sport a dynamic eerie glow that captures the ghastly chill of Northrend.

See Azeroth and beyond through frosted lenses.

Serve Life in Death
Many will fear you after your dark rebirth, but your sacrifice is a necessity to confront the new horrors that will be unleashed once the Visions of N’Zoth content update goes live next week on January 14.

So no new skins or hair colors for allied race DKs? Lazy, cost cutting Blizzard.

(Cost cutting means greedy if you’re a giant corporation like blizzard)

....and join forces with either the Horde or the Alliance.
Join forces with either side on the basis of which faction they normally line up with or are we saying that you can cross faction lines?

Hey the pandaren technically get to choose.
also the blood elves technically get to choose, but for gameplay they always choose their own faction.

    HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Yeah idk, seems an error on their side.
espeically since if they do add heritage armor for pandaren it would be the same as already added races, and just be a quest if your exalted with the faction.

.....wasn't the first wave of Allied Races locked completely behind BFA preorder? How is this any different?

Yeah? How do you think this negates what I said? They’re still not giving allies race DKs the exclusive options that every other race has gotten lol

Buy our next expansion so you can be new-race DK's even though we've barely covered anything other than on paper, but not visualy shown it! - Blizzard

it's not called cost-cutting its resource management. What would you rather have new customizations for the old races (which they are adding in Shadowlands) or white brown orcs - oh wait they exist ermm white void el... no they exist erm ok black or green zanda... oh shit another one already in the game.

I was about to post asking the same thing. Is there some last minute heritage armor or something being added. Pretty sure it's a typo though, but I wouldn't mind Pandaren getting heritage armor on top of Golbins and Worgens next patch.

You know it’s pretty bad when content that came out 12 years ago is “new” content.

Do allied race DKs start at level 55 or level 20?

Looking forward to the introductory questline because when has an untested feature ever gone wrong?

this is something I've been wondering for awhile, will greatly affect what class the hideous mechagnome I have to suffer through for the achievement will be.
