Mythic Ny'alotha, the Waking City - Day 7 Progress
Pieces has caught up with Complexity Limit and Method, and now have 11/12 bosses down!

Patch 8.3 Hotfixes - February 3, 2020

    • Ji-Kun, Ssinkrix, Qroshekx, Xaarshej should now retain their names when tamed.

Creatures and NPCs
  • Lalathin should now appear in all phases of Suramar.

Horrific Visions
  • Further reduced the health of enemies in Horrific Visions for players who enter the instance as a solo healer or tank specialization; healers will face enemies with 42% less health and tanks will fight enemies with 25% reduced health.
    • Developers’ note: We'd like players to be able to upgrade their legendary cloak without feeling like they have to change specialization. The difficulty of Horrific Visions adjusts dynamically based on party composition, but they're still a bit rough for solo healers and tanks, so we're making some tweaks to help those players out.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Vision Hunters’ buff text from displaying the proper values.

Mythic N'Zoth Hotfix
After the recent hotfix to Thought Harvesters (to make them spawn in fixed locations), their Harvest Thoughts ability has been changed to be cast while moving.

This change makes the fight more difficult since Thought Harvesters will now cast Harvest Thoughts as soon as they come into contact with anything (a player, a Shaman's totem, a Warlock's gateway). Max from Complexity Limit explains the problem with this change in the following clip.

If you're doing the ads the 'proper' way, without using immunities to negate them, it doesn't impact you at all, in fact it fixes an issue where you're unable to soak the cast because the ad spawned in a puddle. It does fuck over limit's strategy though, they were also unimpacted by it spawning in a puddle because of the immunity strat.

So they kinda fixed an issue with the 'proper' strat, and the fix screwed over limit's strat.

Now I'm wondering if it adjusts on demand inside. For instance if you enter as a healer and then swap to dps once in do the mobs scale back up or stay at the 42% reduced state. If they don't adjust dynamically then it'd favorite all the classes with healer specs and those with tank only slightly.

I saw hunter under hotfixes and thought I'd see some MM changes but it's just more pet collector fluff.

That's the definition of exploit, so if it doesn't do it dynamically it's definitely unintended and might even get people banned. I'd normally say "that would never happen " but it's the now-blizzard we're talking about so it's possible :P
Chances are you can't change specs inside.

Locking your roles would be terrible for it. People already change specs inside and telling them "no you can't do that" would make suck for those who are clearing heavily doing that right now.

That could be great for priests. Clear trash as disc and swap to shadow on bosses.

Edit: I mean if it changes dynamically. Though at 42% health reduction, I guess even the elites might be easier as disc

Out of curiosity have you tried it as disc or shadow? I've been running it as Shadow and a friend has been going feral druid and we seem to be doing ok, but not really much in terms of lot of health regen. I might go disc (though I hate healing on priest for some reason) if its better.
