World of Warcraft Shadowlands Beta Opt-In
In addition to the first Shadowlands build shipping yesterday, the support article for Shadowlands Beta has been updated. Now is a good time to opt into Shadowlands Beta, which you can do directly on the Shadowlands Home Page.

why would i play beta to play unfinished, grindy content, with half broken specs oh and don't forget u won't be flying at all. Then do it again when it goes live, WoW shadowlands will be finished around 9.1 the last 2 xpacs are proof of this.

The beta is there to help test the content, not to play the game proper
Not that most people realise that to begin with

That's very true, I play it to try to help find stuff out, even if it doesn't nothing makes me feel like I at least tried to help. Also is a good way to get the scoop on the new cool hunter pets

The worst part is idiots like you actually get beta and you don't even understand the point of it.

Don't need to opt-in to the Beta, I'll just buy the game and then when it releases I get to play Beta anyway! ¬_¬

So its beta time again, that one time players gets to test out and report stuff they don't think is fun and needs to be improved...

... and Blizzard releases broken stuff anyway.

At least streamers will have extra content which seems to be the more important thing.

Finally this makes alpha/beta really promising.

Here's hoping that i get in so i can start reporting more stuff. A few things i reported during BFA got fixed so it is at least hopeful.

Except that, as evidenced by Legion and BFA, much of the playtester feedback went largely ignored out of hubris until the players were proven right and the devs had to shoehorn fixes into the first big content patches.

This. All of this. Why opt into a beta where feedback falls on deaf ears and the live product ends up being a forced beta upon the rest of the population?

I guess the faint hope that some feedback is listened to? I mean if you feel they will do nothing at all, don't opt in then.

So is this screwing over those who have gotten into alpha and closed beta from the past three expansions?!

Because they are "forcing" you to opt in if you want to play the beta. Before it was an automatic invite via "custom support of account, beta profile"
    Wich also answer Ronnosh

    @Ronnosh

1/3 of the people that got into Beta was testing hard and sending pms/dms to blizzard. Like the Hammer squad, method, etc.
The other 1/3 was people that didnt care for the testing, and even accounts that havent play the game since TBC!!! or subbed for a long time.
and the last 1/3 were people watching someone climb a mountain and trying to. Looking the ambience and enviroment and questing without reading or looking if the npcs are well standing or any grammar problem. The typical just run trough everything and go endgame done never logging in the beta for months.

I will not defend blizzard..... but the people that got in the early closed betas, didnt care too much, hek i got into the last itinerations for release and my testing was almost nothing.

By letting people who want to test shit, to see if the npc its floating 1 cm above normal and put a bug report.

If Blizz isn't gonna listen to feedback it might as well be a demo.

Lol opt in for Beta during which they test fuck all and listen to no feedback.

It isn't even working now anyway. Every time I click the button it says "Opt-in unsuccessful". Typical.

Use a different Web Browser. Chrome failed so I used Opera Browser instead.

Why would you think that? Because they created an easy-access button? That literally means nothing in relation to whom they're inviting first/how often.
