Presented by Blizzard Entertainment’s University Relations and World of Warcraft development teams, the ninth annual Blizzard Student Art Contest has drawn to a close. After some fervent debate and impassioned deliberation, our judges sifted through the many remarkable entries and identified the winning entries.

    Why'd that FX one with the chain win? That's pretty low tier quality expected from an entry level to 3D animation. Surely there were better entries than THAT... o.O

    Grats to the winners and all entrants; their talent and effort are to be applauded. That said, please, whatever gods are out there listening, do not add that mount in the game.

    It's possible that there were technical limitations on the project.

    The purpose of this, to me, is that it seems like a pretty good way for Blizzard to scout future talent more than anything else.

    It is an error. The chain one is animation runner up and the void portal is the FX winner.

    OT: The Wildhammer Druid is pretty cool. I imagine its forms would be pretty sick.

    I'd like that mount. We already have the frogs so another jumpy mount would work fine.
