How stupid to give it a higher droprate.
When new droprate for Oondasta and Sha?
This kind of edgelording is why we can't have nice things.
Sha and Oond should have been changed from the start, it's a bit late for them now. However, there is still time to boost the drop rate for Soundless. That one will be hell after BFA unless something is changed about him.

Then the mystery is over very fast.
You want to spend multiple xpac's to finaly get it and be happy for 30min.

No, I don't want to do that. As long as I am active throughout a patch, I want to be able to complete most of the content - especially the outdoor content, I'll still be farming mythic mounts for expansions to come. I don't want to keep doing the same thing for years until I'm sick of it, especially if it involves passively camping for a mob that can be one shot by higher levels or tamed by hunters. Not every mount has to be super rare. The real challenge is to get them all, and that does take a great deal of time and dedication.

Pretty much just posting to fully agree with this. Playing regularly and throwing 8 - 10 alts at some rare mob to get a recolored mount because you're a collectionist, should be enough to get most if not everything from the very casual, outdoor, irelevant content. Then again, I don't know how much the drops were increased - if it's from 0,7% to 1% it still won't be an easy farm.

Oondasta and Sha are bosses, not rares. Boss drops tend to have lower drop rates for mounts except for the mythic end kill that has a 100% until the next xpac.
It's amazing that people can be such Petty Betty's that they think that upping the drop rate for something that is 0.38%ish on a mob that is up for 4 days a week every 2 weeks and can be tagged only once a day by 110+ characters is bad and destroying 'prestige' just because they had the luck of getting it first try.
There is a valid argument to be made that some other mount droppers could use a respawn rate or drop chance buff, such as Soundless, but using that as a reason to not change Corpse Eater is pure whataboutism.

Been throwing 18 chars at Corpse Eater almost every day since the first Aqir assault with nothing to show for it. Joining raids every day on those 18 chars usually only resulted in seeing 2-3 people get it in the span of 4 days.
Corpse Eater was around 0.4% ish, though. A little below that, maybe 0.35%.
Would love a system where you can actually work towards the rare mounts...it's rather silly basically having to throw alts at things to get them to drop, you should be able to do the same effort but on one character.

You mean like a bad luck protection thing? Yes, that would be nice. It would mean you have something to work towards. There'd still be people with great luck who get it early, but at least the people who put work into it will also get rewarded.

The drop rate will be increased from 0,00000000001% to 0,00000001%. Even now they still super rare. I dont khow about the mounts, but the pets drops from Rares inm Uldum/Vale are incredible low. I have friends that farm Rares with +15 alts with any drop, on my servers there a zero of them in the AH.
Blizzard add so many layers of RNG on this. We got Rares that can be up only during specific Invasions, but among them Amalgaman of Flesh require the specific invasion + specific event, so its up only for a couple of days. Lord and Forgotten got 1h respawn time, so they require the specific invasion + long respwan time.
Actually im playing Animal Crossing while I'm waiting for Lord or The Forgotten to show up.. doing this routine with 3 alts! Thanks gods Animal Crossing is helping me to not quit WoW because this will be the only thing to do untill Shadowlands. No one force me to do this, but as a Pet collector I feel I am...
Wow I had no idea Corpse Eater had such a low drop rate. It dropped for me on an alt of mine the first week of Aqir assault and I was like YASSS but I should have been like YASSSSSSSSS
