New Preserved Contaminants - May 29, Layers Added to Herod and Whitemane

Over the next few minutes, we’re enabling a second layer for the Herod and Whitemane realms. This is a step we’re taking very carefully to make it so that players can enjoy playing on those realms during peak hours.

It has been a very high priority for us to understand why, after we de-layered ten realms on May 14, these two realms reversed course and experienced this, while the others did not. We will continue to pay very close attention to this situation and make adjustments to the game service as necessary.

As before, Herod and Whitemane remain restricted from the Character Transfer service.

Because there's so many fucking bots, it's absolutely insane

Really astonished to see how many people are still playing Classic, thought relams would have been ghost town in 6 months max.

Even when they finally did what everyone wanted, putting corruptions on sale, they couldn't fucking help themselves but to throw tons of RNG at it could they.

A vendor rotation is not "RNG", its pre-determined. RNG has a specific meaning, as in that its random, its not a term to throw at everything you don't like.

26 different corruptions have been up at the vendor; we have 52 total. the ones we haven't seen are Avoidant Tier 1; Expedient Tier 1; Masterful Tier 3; Severe Tier 3; Versatile Tier 1, 2; Strikethrough Tier 1; Racing Pulse Tier 1, 2; Deadly Momentum Tier 1, 3; Surging Vitality Tier 2, 3; Honed Mind Tier 2; Echoing Void Tier 1, 2, 3; Infinite Stars Tier 2, 3; Twilight Devastation Tier 1, 3; Twisted Appendage Tier 1, 2; Void Ritual Tier 2, 3; Gushing Wound and they will all be up in the next 2 weeks.

there is no RNG to this system; we get 13 a week for 4 weeks on a rotating basis.

That rotation is ridiculous. Just let us choose what we want instead of using it to milk more time.

that doesn't make sense though. even if they had all of them up at once people would still have to farm the echoes needed so would take them the same amount of time anyway.

There are people with >30k echoes and people who bought like... 5-6x 5000 echoes corruptions after few days(like 2-3) from 0.

yeah but people who had saved up that much would be very rare. system was introduced mid March and if you did every single emissary between then and now, killed every Nya'lotha raid boss each week, did a single 15 key, 1 full horrific vision clear, every single N'Zoth assault then by the time they boosted the drop rate on May 19 you would have about 12780 echoes. so the people who have 30k echoes are obviously farming the absolute shit out of either Mythic+ or PvP shit and yeah that doesn't really reflect the entire playerbase

Still no BIS corruptions for any of my characters.

I'm not saying that it does reflect entire playerbase. I'm just saying that you were wrong thinking that people aren't able to farm them faster.

Yeah. It's pretty incredible how infested Classic has become with bots and how they haven't connected the dots when a server like Herod unlocks for character creation and all the sudden there are dozens it not hundreds of new Mages rolling in even on the Alliance side.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard announces Classic tokens for the Western market since they don't seem interested in banning bot accounts.

I've just stopped doing anything related to corruption and the final emissary. Waste of time and effort and pointless with a new expansion coming out.

So happy they fucked pvp up with corruption vendor.
Made it way easier to unsubscribe and put wow on the shelf until Shadowlands comes!

Calling others child while being a child makes no sense.

Not playing the game currently doesn't mean that people can't check news or even comment on whatever news they want about a game that they're just taking a break. There is also nothing happening in the game that makes the experience of any 8.3 player invalid.

And yes, at the end of Shadowlands, it will be a waste of time to farm things for Shadowlands. Nothing wrong with that.

Why not? You can farm faster than you think and you would be able to buy whatever you want anytime you want as soon as you had the required amount of currency instead of waiting for the corruption to show up again at the vendor.

Rotation isn't there to help you.
